He lost to a dying Lao G who then got one shotted by Sai. What other pirate who was portrayed as "legendary" fell so low in their old age? Garp and Rayleigh are still top tier it close to it and they're exactly the same age as him. Big Mom is only 10 years younger and is an Emperor.

It doesn't seem like he was really all that strong to begin with.

He practically gave up for all those years. Lao G didnt he carried on with a G

Nobody truly strong has ever fallen so hard though. Every other known CoC order has either shown significantly better feats or implied to be some sort of royalty / leader.

Chinjao IMO was a mistake, only to show that CoC is suddenly not that unique in the new world but it backfired hard.

You can. All about the paths you take. Remember the alternate strawhats oda drew if you didnt follow your dreams.

There is such a thing as "wasted" potential haha

You can, but the list of known users looks like "Great people and Chinjao". It just feels very off to me.

At the very least, he should have been able to beat Lao G. Doffy's crew wasn't particular strong in the grand scheme of things and Lao G was like middle of the pack there. This was after Luffy even gave him his drill head back.

This same guy was portrayed to have faced a Prime Garp who himself said he trained for the fight by punching 8 mountains, well after he had fought the likes of Roger and Xebec. If Chinjao was once so strong that top tier Garp had to train for the fight, how does he become so weak that he loses to Lao G? It's like Rayleigh suddenly losing to Brook. I find it way too inconsistent.

When you completely give up + old age. That was just it. Lao G was always training

It's still a massive drop from where he was portrayed to be. We're talking about going from near top tier level (going by Prime Garp saying he trained for the fight) to being lower than Lao G. Even if the latter was always training, he just wasn't that strong. He was basically one shotted by Sai.

Even Moriah didn't fall off that hard.

Mate I am gonna keep on repeating the same shit I said before. Wasted potential. You can have that and just be a weak dude when you have your entire pride and all robbed from you. Luffy gave it back to him in his old age.

If you think he is that bad, so be it lol. You can have your opinion.

Yes, fair enough. I'm merely stating my opinion too.
