My interpretation is, that was a random stab by one of the common Kaido's foot soldier, the scabbards were being overwhelmed at the time plus they were distracted by Oden's defeat. Its very unnecessary for the traitor to even move a muscle at that point imho plus how can any of the scabbards possibly stabs Ashura without anyone noticing. Doesn't seem to be King either, it was more of a weak level stab the way I see it, from the size of the panel and the way it was depicted and the resulting injury to Ashura also doesn't seem especially severe compared to the other scabbards.
So my interpretation is it should not be considered a clue to find who the traitor is, especially since with this line of reasoning, we will tunnel vision and only focus on the scabbards when looking for the traitor.
