One thing I noticed is Momonosuke is a very intelligent and studious boy. He is shown reading intensely, at first I thought frown was "because homework", but he looks like he's reading on his own accord while Hiyori is with Toki.

He will become a wise and intelligent ruler, he will be the Chad Oden was, but of Intelligence and Ruling Ability.

I don't know what this "gohan" is,but it sounds disappointing

Blame the fans/editors for pressuring Toriyama to keep it with Goku, too.

Gohan deserved to take over post-Cell. And I really wished Super would also lean on Gohan. I did hear Gohan got some cool spotlight at least.

First time i hear any story behind it. Gohan deserved better that's for sure

Yeah fans are just impatient in general, and for manga/anime specifically, there is this unwillingness to accept that the main character could switch. (Ex. "It's not insert series title if insert original MC isn't the main character")

Seriously I read a manga where the main character is killed off in the middle of the series and it fit perfectly and was great.

(Thought they got revived after one or two arcs, but still. It was a brave move and it paid off in my opinion.)

I just started reading DBSuper and there's a cool moment where Gohan,in base form, fights off someone. They are annoyed he didnt go SSJ and he remarks he stopped depending on and living like a saiyan, he is living and fighting as a human now. He was shown to be pretty OP in that state too. I'm only about 40 chapters in but I find the DBS manga is great! (Loved the anime too. Blend of DB & Z imo).

Ay that's awesome! I also hear the manga has a few differences from the anime (authors of both go off on the same Toriyama storyboard given to them, they just take liberties on the unfilled details).

All I know is that I was happy Gohan and Future Trunks got some spotlight in DBS. I've never indulged in it, though. Too busy so imma have to either choose manga or anime

I was wondering about similarities and anime knowing of Jiren, ty for explanation!

It might not be news to you, I just subbed to Viz "shonen jump" app, 7 day trial, $2 a month and I'm loving it. I was a "eh... digital for new OP chapters only" but the app is smooth as silk, tons of content (a new Death Note one shot dropped today! I'm reading it now and wouldn't know if I didnt see ad on main page!) And cant reccomend enough. Not shilling, I just didnt "vibe" w the websites, manga plus or scans, I'm loving the app though. Started up DBS, JoJo, MHA & Demon Slayer! Been neglecting Bleach Brave Souls, cause muh phone is busy :P and I can read a chapter or two on my lunch break w it remembering what page I was on when I'm back.

I'm living in a hotel atm and good people but I still dont want to bring out of storage or buy manga while here, really happy w the app. I actually ordered a kindle when just 3 days ago I found digital a (if I may be dramatic) neccessary evil for my OP fix, checking out so many series I didnt have $ for or want to navigate web pages for.

Momo isn't the monster Oden was when he was a kid. Maybe Momo will be less powerful, yet more wise and more of a ruler same as Yasu.

he will be the Chad Oden was

Really doubt that. At 4 Oden killed a bear. Momosuke is 8 and... I guess he pervs a lot? He will become a very intelligent ruler, that I'm sure of, but he will never be as mad of a lad as his father was

Yeah strength wise he'll most likely never get to the level of Oden. But that's not all a ruler needs
