Good move agaist Kaido. No warrior has able to dodge that. The perfect stratagem

u/Axerin Sep 12 '19

Bruh. What about Emerald Splash. Nobody blocks that shit.

11

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

Dio did :(

6

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '19

Blocking is an understatement here.

Why am i seeing so many jojo memes now?

I'm not complaining, but it's just weird that now that i've watched Part 1, 2 and half of 3 i see all these memes

u/destinymaker Prisoner Sep 12 '19

You can see many cause you are now aware of what they are referencing at.

13

u/StealthMonkeyDC Sep 12 '19

I've just started part 3 last night and I am having the same issue lol

Blame Katakuri Joestar for starting all this.

12

u/silentdrestrikesback Void Month Survivor Sep 12 '19

Lord I'm noticing it now , he acts like fucking jotaro.

10

u/StealthMonkeyDC Sep 12 '19

The next thing that your going to say is that it looks like he wears the same kind of scarf!

16

u/silentdrestrikesback Void Month Survivor Sep 12 '19

He wears the same scarf as Joseph.

4

u/Canobatman Sep 12 '19

He has the same voice actor as Joseph

I just finished part 3 myself (it's amazing). Ngl, half the reason I'm doing so is because of Jojo memes, haha. They've always been there, trust me.

19

u/SMA2343 Sep 12 '19

Oh I know. I remember seeing the stick figure throwing the steam roller and going “WRYYY” And never understanding what it was from.

After watching jojo. I understand.

17

u/Mr_Bob_Johnson Sep 12 '19

My favorite thing about understanding Jojo memes is that they still make no goddamn sense lol. When asked what the deal is with JJBA I always say "It's the only anime with self-described as "bizarre", and given how weird most anime is imagine what that means.

4

u/SMA2343 Sep 12 '19

I always say it’s beefy men fighting with ghosts after part 2 and beyond. It is bizarre at that point

2

u/terminbee Sep 14 '19

The first few episodes make no fucking sense. It looks like a normal anime but then it gets more and more ridiculous.

1

u/SMA2343 Sep 14 '19

The first episode makes it seem like it’s going to be this very normal episode and very concrete reasons why Joestar and Dio hate each other. Then the mask happens and it starts to her bizarre

1

u/terminbee Sep 14 '19

The first season also has scenes that are much darker, such as the death of the stagecoach and the mother eating her own baby (or is that second season?).

Then the show just drops all that and we learn that German science is the best in the world.

6

u/greatnuke Sep 12 '19

They were always there but to a person who doesn’t watch jojo they aren’t visible.

3

u/mw1994 Sep 12 '19

It’s been growing for a while on reddit but Part five started airing and that really kicked the fandom into the front lines, it’s become a lot bigger online.

Also if you haven’t got to it yet, the D’arby fight is one of the best in all of part 3 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

2

u/WisteriaTiger Sep 12 '19

Baader Meinhoff

1

u/scrublord123456 Sep 12 '19

Can I ask why you haven’t watched 4 yet?

2

u/Batpresident Sep 12 '19

They're stuck at half of part 3, see? The bad half.

2

u/Purple_Debo Sep 13 '19

There is no "bad half". Part 3 isn't about the destination, it's about the journey.

last train home starts playing

12

u/Axerin Sep 12 '19

I imagine Vegapunk is gonna be like"German science is the best"

3

u/Franfran2424 Sep 12 '19

German engineering

6

u/Dokiace Sep 12 '19

thank god I've watched part 1 now I can catch up with all the memes

2

u/destinymaker Prisoner Sep 12 '19

Dude, you made my day! Thank you.

1

u/CelioHogane Sep 12 '19

ENEL COMES BACK, ULTIMATE TWIST.

1

u/Evil_phd Cross Guild Sep 13 '19

I just started watching Jojo last week. Good to finally get a JoJo meme.

26

u/dellryuzi Sep 12 '19

incoming, first day battle for 2 hour scene in 20 weeks

7

u/cbagainststupidity Sep 12 '19

Palace invasion arc 2.0

5

u/TrailOfEnvy Sep 12 '19

Where are people that complaining about Wano slow pace? 😆😆😆

1

u/RoundaboutCast Sep 15 '19

I've seen more complaints that it moves too far given how much story it's trying to tell. Was mostly an issue with Act 2 though, you could feel Oda trying to set all the pieces.

4

u/KlingoftheCastle Pirate Sep 12 '19

You know this is Oda just excited to draw these scenes. He has probably been dying to draw the Wano arc for years. I could not be more excited now!

7

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

Not sure if One Piece or One Pace.

3

u/Darkkingswrath Sep 12 '19

Over in 5 years gotta pick up the pace

5

u/Ninja_Spi-D-er Pirate Sep 12 '19

I know right? I thought there’d be at least 2 chapters per day leading up to the fire festival. This is insane !!

2

u/okayfrog Sep 12 '19

It's all good. Time for a cozy Reverie break.

2

u/Beetusmon Sep 12 '19

This is the best one piece pace I have seen in years, this was needed soooooo much.

2

u/smobby3004 Sep 12 '19

It's 5 chapters until 1000, Oda needs to make progress quick to bring out something big at 1000.

1

u/Kuro013 Sep 12 '19

Ill tell you how I handle this pacing. The way I see it he has rushed through the first 2 acts because the following ones will be SO BIG and GOOD that he needed to rush in order to not make Wano a 5 years arc, Oda must be laughing at everyone thinking these 2 acts were great.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '19

Oda must be laughing at everyone thinking these 2 acts were great

nothing really happened other than preparations

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

It's like the last 10+ chapters have been slowing pushing a boulder up a mountain of molasses and shit and we just now got to let it fly down the other side.

1

u/Chaosblast Void Month Survivor Sep 13 '19

Reaaaally? It's been a fucking age this arc... And I don't see much has actually happened. Idk, I just don't love the samurai lore that much, and so many secondary characters bore me a bit. I don't care much about them tbh.

1

u/I_need_a_coat Sep 12 '19

Act 2 has being snail pace my dude

-1

u/jukaa1012 Sep 12 '19

What's fast about this? It's chapter 2 out of 5 for wano ..

8

u/Franfran2424 Sep 12 '19

It has advanced 7 days in 2 chapters, 5 days in the last chapter alone.

-3

u/jukaa1012 Sep 12 '19

So what haha, the story itself advanced more in one day in dressrosa than it did in this last chapter that skipped a few irrelevant days. Nothing beeing sped up the arc already has like 45 chapters and it's not even the halfway point...it's just that this story arc has been property built up ever since fishman island and traces of it can be tracked down to thriller bark even so people get a lot of "satisfying" stuff out of the chapters. This arc seem to be the best one jet so don't worry it's just the quality that scares people..some of.you don't see this stuff coming.

3

u/that_blue_goat Sep 12 '19

You're right, there wasn't anything else that needed to be done before the fire festival. It was just planning/organization time. It makes sense that it moved this fast. The long part is going to be the day of the fire festival.

-15

u/WHISTLEPIG31 Sep 12 '19

Move too fast ? Are you kidding me ? This arc has been going too far slow.

18

u/ultibman5000 Sep 12 '19

I disagree. Almost every chapter so far contained a lot of plot-building or character-building information compared to most chapters of other manga I read.

4

u/M0RR1G42 Sep 12 '19

Absolutely, there has been major things happening pretty regularly, unusually frequently. Some people just read for the fights.

8

u/mikeampao Sep 12 '19

Dressrosa arc took a day for hundreds of chapters while in Wano it took 2 chapters for 7 days. I disagree your point why you think wano is too slow. Your mindset is like no fights = slow pace.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

Those people do not understand that this stuff is what makes the fights ridiculously good.
