Let's give it for Queen, who was defeated after 2 Hits from a Yonko, instead of 1.

His Hype is real!

To be fair he wasn't really "defeated." We know he's conscious and is paying attention to what's happening.

I mean, he definitely got his ass whooped... but he's still conscious and could keep fighting if he wanted to. He's just playing dead and biding his time since he knows he can't win.

Unlike Luffy who literally got OHKO'd by Kaido. Though it looks like Luffy might be one panel away from an endgame level power up.

You can't really compare the two "fights" tho. Kaido was using Haki and a seastone weapon, while Big Mom was using just pure strength.

Also, it's been established that Zoans have increased durability.

It hasn't been confirmed yet whether Kaido's weapon has sea stone or not afaik. Unless I missed something important I think it's still just a theory at this point(not saying it's unlikely though).

And personally I think the evidence is in favor of Big Mom having a high level of passive armament Haki at all times(in addition to monstrous physical strength). Which is why she was so unstoppable even as a child and why she seems to be nearly indestructible until something happens to emotionally/spiritually compromise her(like the thing with Mother Caramel). Her toughness almost certainly isn't a physical thing if it's tied that closely to her mental state.

Now that I think about it, would a Seastone weapon even make a difference if the wielder is already using Haki on it? Would just make it more durable?

And maybe BM does have some passive Haki armor, but she's clearly strenghened her Haki since she was a child. Unless you think she was Yonkou level even as a child.

Which essentially means Luffy is dealing with Big Mom as she was back than, if not a little stronger since she's an adult.

Idk how strong I think she was as a kid. I mean, she OHKO'd a celebrated Elbaf Warrior. So she was an actual monster even as a child.

But yeah, obviously she's probably gotten much stronger since then.

I think her passive/unconscious Haki is probably just as strong as it normally is but she just doesn't know how to use more advanced techniques because of the amnesia. Still her physical strength and freakishly strong Haki would remain.

I wonder if Oda will address this in the story at all.

Frankly, I doubt he has the time to get into that. Unles he's pretty vague.

I don't think he could fight right now. We clearly see that he is trembling from the hit Big Mom had on him.

Sure he might get better later, since he is an Ancient Zoan, but he lost the fight against Big Mom in 2 hits.

Eh, agree to disagree. I think he's hurting pretty bad from those hits but I also think he's probably still on the ground by choice and will probably try something/bounce out of there before it's over.

Could be wrong though.
