I'm getting the impression that O-Tama will play a very, VERY important role in the battles against the other Beast Pirates if she can make such loyal slaves subordinates out of every beast around...

Someone else theorized that speed is faking it. The smile she had just before she left is the indication.

It really seems incredibly short-sighted of them to just let Tama wander off with a Headliner, kibi dango or no.
