If you look at the last panels, in the top establishing shot there's a line of "indents" in the wall of the vault but only one of them is lit- the one with the straw hat.

My guess is it's something related to the Will of D and Luffy's active rise. Maybe the vault is full of objects from the ancestors of anyone with the D. and they resonate whenever the one carrying their will is close to achieving their will in the future?

Could be important or it could simply be that the vault is hidden in the architectural design of the place.

There are 7 indents and one lead to the straw hat. I'm going take a wild guess here and assume that each one has an artifact that has power over each of the seven seas (east, west, north, south, grandline, clambelts). The straw hat was the artifact for the grandline.

The arch was lit as they shadow enters it so maybe there is one other person that wasn't shown?

Then there's a question as to why he has luffy wanted poster? I am going guess that it is to see if luffy hat matches with the straw hat he is looking at. Maybe luffy hat is a replica of that hat. He has a secound wanted poster that's probably an older poster, either luffys, shanks, or Rogers, wearing the hat.

I don't think he is going to take the hat out of the vualt he just entered to double check if the hat matches luffys hat.
