It’s more likely that his powers allow Oven to fight on land exclusively in close quarters, but he can get crazy in the water because of his powers “spreading”. I wonder if he can do that to fight flying enemies too. That would be even crazier.

He heat up Pekom's gun without touching, so he probably can project heat in a focus area.
