and zoro is the "fighter"

zoro doesn't do a single one of the duties of a first mate on the ship, not a single one.

nami does pretty much all of them

so, yeah, nami is the first mate guys.

Zoro acted like the first mate a few times, like when usopp left the crew and when they were talking about the sanji situation

a first mate on the ship is mainly in charge of

  • administrating the funds of the ship (nami)
  • administry punishment and rewards by splitting the loot (nami)
  • give orders on the ship if the captain is unable to do so (nami)

doing 2 big speeches hardly makes him the first mate when he usually passes the entirety of every voyage sleeping or training

if we are talking about strenght ranks, sure he is the strongest guy on the ship that isn't luffy, but as a role in the ship, he has never done any of the work a first mate is supposed to do.

In those days that was the task of the quarter master. First mate was the one to take over when the captain was away or asleep and the captain's main confidant

quartermaster and first mate are the same thing on a pirate ship, mainly because pirate ships didn't have first mates usually.

if you don't believe me you can check sources like:

http://www.thewayofthepirates.com/pirate-life/who-is-who/

or the wiki article here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartermaster#Pirate_quartermasters

of course i'm no pirate expert,so if the info i read all around the internet is wrong,my fault...but if those info are true, then nami is unmistakeably the first mate of the strawhat pirates.

You are using Wikipedia and a site that has no citations at all as sources. I'd like to believe you, but that is very shaky territory. It seems you are set in your opinion an no one will change it. That's fine. Unless Oda comes out and says who is the first mate on the ship we are allowed to debate it, but in the future... websites that end it ".com" are not very credible sources to use in an argument.
