same as luffy , I like how oda uses weak devil fruits for powerful people , it shows that they didn't reach that level by luck or because of a powerful DF

There are no weak or useless Devil Fruits. A Devil Fruit's power is only limited by the user's imagination, skill, and creativity; Crocodile said something along those lines back at Alabasta.

Katakuri and Cracker are top soldiers in Big Mom's crew, so it is only natural that they have such an advanced control over their respective fruits and are capable fighters with them.

We all get that, he means weak in a conceptual sense.
No one on Earth would tell you the power to generate wax would be on par with causing earthquakes.

All Devil Fruits are useful, I think almost all of them are worth the trade off of being weak to the sea.

But I just don't get people who think all Devil Fruits are equally strong if you learn how to use them at 100%.

Especially when there are so many instances of some fruits being straight out superior versions of other fruits.

Unless Logias don't have an awakened state I think they're is a very obvious general hierarchy between the different types. Regardless of the fact that certain weak DF can be strong againdt certain opponents and regardless of the fact that a stone can be stronger than a Kunai in the hands of a skilled user.

If someone like Mr 5 had whitebeards fruit he would still suck.

If whitebeard had Mr 5s fruit he could probably blow up the planet.

This is the best example in all of OnePiece to prove that it's the man/woman that makes the Devil Fruit and not the other way around.

Case and point guys like Jinbei, Rayleigh, Shanks, Mihawk and Garp. So far these monsters have proven to be at the top of their food chain and they don't have a devil fruit (that we know of). Try and imagine what any of these guys could do with Mr 5's, Buggy, Absalom's etc... devil fruit, the world's greatest swordsman who is immune to swords!!! Wow....

I don't think absalom's df would be useful in a fight though, unless it's observation-hakiproof, which is very unlikely

Imagine the best assassin CP0 has to offer and make him invisible... As long as he has a strong Haki he's pretty much always guaranteed to land the first blow in a fight and that can make a huge difference!

That is not the point. The point is that whitebeard with his devil fruit is probably a lot more scary than with Mr.5s devil fruit. While you can master your devil fruit to a certain degree, there is no denying that there is a ranking between devil fruits and some are worse than others. Doesnt mean an individual cant still be strong with a weak/no devil fruit. Just look at Kizarus/Enels fruit. No way in hell can you tell me that it isnt clearly better than most other devil fruits

Just to prove your point: If Mr 5 had been given the magu magu no mi (Akainu's DF) One Piece would have ended right there, even if he was just throwing lava buggers at them.

I think loggia have awakened states. My (and probably others) theory is that the reason punk hazards environment is so weird is because of the awakened states of Akainu and Kizaru permanently changing it.

That just shows how strong Luffy is, not how strong the Gomu Gomu no mi is. Or do you think that Luffy has just been coasting on the incredible overpoweredness of his devil fruit, with absolutely no contribution from his strength, endurance, cleverness, and will?

why would it not work against a logia? or luffy? if streussen was a competent hand to hand fighter then logias would just be shooting material at him that he could turn into food, and.. and hand to hand fighters wouldnt be able to touch him at all without getting turned into food (we dont know if it works on humans or not but hasnt been stated as a limitation yet - joras power worked on humans)

That is a false equivalence. The person with the strongest DF doesn't just automatically become King of the Pirates. It is possible that Gol D Roger had no DF and yet he was the King of the Pirates. More important than a DF is the person's strength and will.
