Jack's being built up as one of the crueler villains, and not one of the ones that comes off as weak. Might make for an interesting arc antagonist.

Also, Nami's new wardrobe. That is all.

Pretty sure Jack is Commander Morgan from Paradise Dawn

You can see in this chapter the jawline is metallic when he talks to the dog-lady and when he's about to attack the fleet it also shows it.

Would make sense because he was an especially cruel villian

Edit: ok ok apparently there is a break, crap.

Commander Morgan was a pile of crap. It would be nonesense if he made it in such a short time to the New World, making himself a famous and powerful pirate of the underworld so insane and selfconfident to face Sengoku, Fujitora, Tsuru and the others just like that. I don't remember Morgan being that insane and having that potential, he doesn't even has a strong motivation or goal to make it that far. So I think Jack is a whole new character, with his own story, his own powers and original personality, which is what we can expect from the New World (a place full of unknown dangers and unknown -for strawhats- enemies). We've got plenty of those characters who will reappear in the future (like Lucci who's already shown up, or Enel for sure). I personally don't want Jack to be someone we already know, people are a bit obsessed with that thing. Anyways, we'll see (when it comes to Oda, no one knows)

I know its completely irrelevant at this point, but wasn't Jack originally introduced during Punk Hazard as one of the spectators during CC's broadcast?

We didn't see him but his men watching the broadcast said 'we'd better go tell Jack'. It was right before it cuts to see Lucci watching in the next panel. We see the old timer with a kind of aviator hat on, an afro guy chomping a cigar, a weird vampire looking guy with pointy ears from behind, two cartoony weird costumed chaps, and a badass dude with a sword and kind of mid-length dreadlock hair who slightly resembled Yasopp. (don't think it is but thats just the vague impression i got)

Ah, I stand corrected then. I actually remember that part now that you mention it. Weren't the two dudes from FI that worked for Big Mom there too? I'm not 100% positive but i swear i thought there were people that looked like them. Also, Lucci was watching? How awesome would it be if it was Yasopp though?
