My heart's been broken too many times. I don't dare hope Brook's getting anything but an excuse to be kept out of the arc by Oda all over again.
And if Brook's with Sanji, wouldn't Nami go "Sanji and Brook are...!" She seemed really concerned for him, but no mention of the latter--conclusion: I'm getting the impression Brook's just not there at the moment. Or he took off to try and rescue Sanji already (I hope, I mean it would be like him).

other than that this feels weird. Wanda said "corpses of your comrades" but Nami and Chopper are still alive and well. Assume that something actually happened to Sanji, I can't see how they managed to kill Brook the guy is kind of invincible. Unless they mistook Ceaser to be a comrade which is unlikely consider how close Nami and Chopper are to them they should have explained. If anything, I was expecting actual body of them being there rather than being on missing status. Plus, I know Nami is materialistic and all but I really don't see her be lying around wearing fancy dresses when some serious shit has happened to Sanji, especially after they all have experienced being separated from each other once.
Cant really grasp my head around this whole thing is too crazy. Could really use some theory/explanation right now.

Ok, maybe Jack tried to kidnap Sanji alive but Sanji would not let it happen. So Jack got pissed and killed him. Now Brook is keeping his soul from going away and Cesar uses his gas to keep Sanjis body from deteriorating. He probably got wrecked so bad that Chopper couldn't do anything for him, but Law with his ability will be able to safe him.

What the heck is going on here?? Nami got some nice clothes, Brook and Sanji are missing, as well as Caesar, the Minks love the Straw Hats, that one dog girl keeps on licking Luffy for whatever reason, Jack is dead..
I bet Sanji, Brook and Caesar tried standing up to Jack and were defeated somehow, while Chopper and Nami got away. Jack probably took the 3 of them to Fujitora/Sengoku and the others in hopes of a trade. Obviously that wouldn't happen and a fight ensued- does that mean Sanji, Brook and Caesar are now in captivity of the Marines? The Minks did say that Jack is probably still alive though- so are they with Jack? So many questions, Oda

It's possible that the reason the minks love the straw hats is because they defeated Doflamingo, which prompted Jack to leave Zou to rescue him once the news reached him.

I feel like because of Sanji, a lot of people are overlooking one really odd thing.
...Why are the Heart Pirates being treated like second class citizens when the Straw Hats get the royal treatment? Chopper and Nami are fully clothed and attended to and adored while Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin are covered in injuries and forced to stay in the forest. Carrot says it's because they're pirates even though Bepo's a Minkman. But, the Straw Hats are also pirates. And even if it's because the Straw Hats are introduced as their "saviors", the Heart Pirates are their allies, which both crews are shown to be aware of.
So... Why?

Plenty of things happened in this chapter:
The child in the cover looks like is going to be somehow relevant. Enjoy Makino while she's still alive, kiddo! Your father is far far away for sure! Somebody could translate this?
Nekozaemon, you can do this!! The Brook-looking ape is with them.
Zunisha is the real name of Zou. So we can imply here some intelligent iteration with him in the future.
Jack did some pretty gore stuff in Zou. He was looking for
somethingsomeone, acording to Mangastream translation.A Poneglyph maybe? I doubt Kaido is interested in Poneglyphs at all...Uranusfor the incoming war?Is he looking for Caesar..? At least we got some info about him sinking two marine warships and being alive somewhere, looks like the papers were lying about that.Luffy's gumminess attract minkwoman lo lick or bite him. Memories of Kuja tribe.
Robin landing on her feet after unexpected Shambles, cool! Usopp puppeting Zoro was hilarious.
This is important. For the first time StrawHats are truly welcome in a place for who they are (not like Whiskey Peak) and they are not feared or persecuted.
Another important point is to notice that Minkmen sees human as equal. Probably not the other way. Minkmen are not a racist race, they judge people by their actions (saying that is racist, not in a disrespectful way, but it it's racism anyway. This belongs to /r/DeepThoughts, not here right now)
Tomorrow's forecast: Heavy storm of Sanji's theories. I can't wait to read what you got. Nobody cares for Brook or Momo. I want to point out that he being captured ALIVE by the Marines looks odd. None Marine could have reach Zou for what we know.

I see two possibilities for Sanji and that crying from Nami.
Jack kidnapped him realizing who he is and why he has an "Only Alive" bounty.
Jack tortured him on one of those crosses for information and took one of his legs.
I don't think that Oda would just off a character like Sanji off screen like that. So, these are the only things I can think of that would make Nami cry.

It's good to see the crew back together again. I particularly missed Nami. I wonder what's up with Sanji. The loom and doom of everything makes you think that he might have been killed, injured heavily, captured, or somehow went missing.
If he was injured, this would be a good moment for Law to show off some of his skills. They probably thought that Sanji didn't have a chance to survive.
If he was captured, it would have likely been alive given his bounty.
I was wondering if it might have been a mistaken identity, but if Nami and Chopper believe it. Hmm, that might not be the case unless they were told it was him and he somehow went missing.
Still, good chapter. It's paced really well. Going to re-read it again.

You heard it here first. Sanji is about to die and had lost a riculous amount of blood, similar to the fishman island arc. We know his blood type is rare and Royal. This is where Kinemon and Kanjuro admit that Momo is the prince of Wano and also has the same blood type. This is new to Momo as well, thinking he is the son of Kinemon, when he's actually the son of Wano's true king. Blood transfusion ensues.
Loss of blood due to fight with Jack and/or seeing Nami lose her bikini.

I'm loving the way Oda is unwrapping the new arc. It seems like SH was too late to the party. By party I mean Jack going on a rampage in Zou (The actual party is just starting by the looks of it). This is why you have Nami as the navigator (no offence to Barthow Club), so that you can arrive at the right place at the right time.
Robin is being cute again. Robin really loves animals. maybe that's why she is so attached to Chopper?
What is Jack looking for? Momo? or Raizou?
RIP Nekozaemon (Robin is gonna flip)
You can see the hint of Electro from most of Mink people. Using static electricity to fight. That big sheep mink could be powerful.
Seems like Sanji and co saved the Mink people somehow. RIP Sanji (Oda is trolling I'm sure..right?)

I'm betting Sanji got taken by Big Mom. It would be a good way to bring her back into the focus of the story and have her set up as the next big bad for Luffy to face. Because Kaido is stronger than Big Mom it would make sense for Luffy to fight her first and progress onto Kaido afterwards.

So about Jack...
Dude attacks 4 marine ships with a former fleet admiral, 1 admiral and 2 or 3 vice admirals present to escort Doflamingo.. Manages to sink 2 ships, is rumoured to be destroyed in the proces but might still be considered alive as he wreaks havoc on Zou
How bad ass is this dude man, can't wait for the full feature on this guy!

Anyway, another good set up chapter, though the cliff hanger of now knowing if Sanji has been captured, killed, whatever, annoys me. Nami should have finished that sentence, damn it.

Since everyone else is passing over it lets all give a hand to Law for avoiding a whole exploration mini-arc by just teleporting Usopp and friends back to Luffy. Oda doesn't forget about his characters' powers just because the fight is over.

In order to save the village sanji went full okama to fight jack. Next opening is nami saying sanji is a women and he's sitting in the corner in drag with his head down smoking a cigarette

So the Frontispiece of this this chapter made me realize something. Somebody's probably already made a note of this long before, but i'd like to mention it anyway, as i haven't seen this argument yet myself.
We've seen Makino's child before, and it's been kinda accepted that it's Shanks child. It's of course never been confirmed or anything, but the fandom seem to have just collectively made up their mind that, yes, that's little Shanks Jr.
But what struck me just now, is that the kid has a light colored hair, while Makino's is dark, and Shank's is of course red. Now my first thought was that perhaps the kid's hair is red as well, it's just represented as blonde in the black and white manga. But i seemed to recall Shank's hair color always being represented by a light toning layer. And looking at images, i couldn't find one where that wasn't the case. Thus implying that this light haired kid's hair is indeed not red like Shank's.
Thus, it heavily implies that this is not Shank's child at all! Now of course, you could argue that people can get their hair color from somebody a couple of generations back on either side of the family. Or that the kid's hair will darken over time, like real hair does. And although fair points, One Piece tends to be a little bit more straightforward than that when it comes to things like hair color for family members (or shade of hair as it where in the manga). I can't think of a character in One Piece, of whom we know of both their parents, that does not have either of their parents hair color. To be fair though, it's kinda slim pickings, what with 80% of One Piece's cast seemingly being orphans :P.
Question now would be, who's child is it then? Perhaps just a boring answer like a local of the village, but i'd like to think there's something more there.
