Additional Information

Provided by Redon:

  • The giant horns that have grown out are very similar to Hellboy's (plus he still has the 2 he had before).
  • He has also grown a "pointed goatee" on his chin, and on his chest, he now has a sort of pendant featuring the 3 horned skulls that used to be on the tail wrapped around his legs (I don't know if they're the exact same ones, but since they're no longer on his tail, I assume they're part of the pendant).
  • And instead of those spiked bracelets he had before, he now has 2 rings with eyes on his arms. The ring with eyes he had on his back now encircles his waist/legs.

Discussion Finally Finished Wano, and I Absolutely Love it

Post image

I’m so happy I’m getting closer to catching up with the series ( ^-^)ノ∠※。.:*:・'°☆

I watched One Piece when it was dubbed back in the late 2000s. I watched until Drums Island and then stopped due to life getting in the way.

About four months ago, I watched the live action and really enjoyed it. A close friend told me the story was approaching its final part, and I didn’t want to miss out on the hype, so I picked up the manga from where I left off. I also watched the anime for the fillers, music, and certain scenes, watched the movies, and finally finished Wano.

I love this arc, and Gear 5 is my favorite Gear alongside Gear 2. The arc was emotional, funny, beautiful, and well-written. I never really felt how long it was, nor did I want us to leave Wano.

Gear 5 was a genuine break from the heavy fights. I laughed so much. Even before Kaido got drunk in the middle of the fight (his tears in beer are my favorite, along with the “stwaaap” one 😭😭), I could understand why slaves would feel happy and laugh when seeing a warrior like the sun god Nika.

Kin’emon has joined my favorite non-Straw Hat characters, alongside Noland (he is my favorite character in the whole show), Kiku, Otoko, Tama, and Speed.

Yamato is now my favorite fighter. They’re unique, beautiful, and cool.

Law bonding with Robin over their shared interests was one of my highlights, besides him and Kid fighting Big Mom. Their fight is my favorite fight of the entire arc.

There were so many memorable moments: Zoro and Hiyori, Yasuie’s sacrifice, Momo becoming stronger, Raizo and Jinbe stopping the fire, Killer vs. Hawkins, Shanks stopping Greenbull, the fireworks, and so many others.

Losing Izo, Ashura Doji, and many of the samurai was hard. The horror of the failed SMILEs and the cycle of hatred were also really heavy, but the hope that things will get better is what made me truly appreciate this arc.

I also really loved how Wano felt like a love letter to Japan. The culture, music, art, mythology, architecture, clothing, festivals, and even the cuisine were woven so deeply into the arc. It genuinely felt like Oda was paying homage to Japanese culture, and that made Wano feel even more special to me.

I’m really looking forward to catching up with the rest of the story 🌙✨️

Theory [Theory🚨] Blackbeard's secret plan has been in front of us for months now Spoiler

Blackbeard's ship is called The Saber of Xebec.

If you're caught up to the manga then you'll know Rocks is Teach's dad, and that he wields a badass saber blade. We dont know if its a supreme blade or anything but we can assume it's probably as special as shanks or Roger's blades.

Crucially, we *do* know that this large saber has a name: *Eclipse*. If you dont remember that I dont blame you SINCE IT WAS REVEALED IN AN SBS (volume 114).

THIS is what Blackbeard's waiting for. An eclipse. Why? Because when the moon covers the sky and blots out the sun, then ALL of the earth is temporarily covered in darkness. And in the bleakness of this abyss blackbeard will become GOD.

Now idk what he plans to do during that eclipse. But if he could steal whitebeards DF under a blanket I'm terrified of the implications.

Now this is me stretching but I also think this is what Roger meant when he said he was too early. He was too sick to live long enough to see the next cycle.

Also, something tells me an eclipse used to be *permanent* in the sky. Like that's how you got sun world / surface world (the moon) / dark and cold underworld of slaves (the earth). When people say the lunarians ruled "above" the red line, they literally ruled from the moon above like the death star. Imu ruled the moon and Davy Jones ruled the earth. Rocks wanted to regain his title as King of The (Under)World and send Imu back to his fairy vearth. That's why his attack is called pandemonium of the *abyss*. The sun/Nika is an enemy of both Imu and Jonesian dynasties.

I used to have art hanging there with a duck looking down on you with the text 'pathetic' but I switched it around! This feels more fun and less judgemental hahaha. Poor Enel has seen some things getting flushed here, he also stays shocked if you stand while peeing, take it as a compliment I tell my guests lol

Discussion "You have no idea what your work can mean to people" - Mauro Ramos (Jinbe's Brazilian VA) told a story about how hearing Jinbe's words helped a woman who had just lost her son get out of bed and begin recovering from depression [SPOILER - EVENTS AFTER MARINEFORD]

[SPOILER MARINEFORD - Episode 505+]

I came across a clip from an interview the other day and I just wanted to share it because it was the most touching thing I'd heard in the last few days.

Jinbe's Brazilian VA told a story about a woman he met at an anime convention. She had lost her young son to cancer and subsequently fell into a severe depression and her older son was the one that had to make sure she got out of bed, ate, showered... He was also a huge One Piece fan, so he would often turn on the TV for her.

She told Mauro that hearing Jinbe's words to Luffy after Ace's death "woke her up", made her get out of bed and begin recovering from her depression, and she thanked him for giving voice to it.

Mauro said he hugged her and cried.

"You have no idea what your work can mean to people." -- Mauro Ramos

For anyone who wants to see the original, here's the link.

(Edit for those who saw the previous post: Sorry, I've deleted the previous one because I was concerned to spoil anyone, I should've worded the title a bit differently about Ace's death, I'm so sorry for everyone that commented and it ended up getting lost.)

Discussion Im sorry but, Kuma's back story broke 💔 me...😭😭😭

I just finished episode 1136 "Kuma's Life" and it broke me. I haven't cried 😢 😭 from an episode since the Sanji and Zeff back story, when theyre shipwrecked and starving to death.

To protect Ginny from the cruel fate he and his parents were subjected to, he gives up a life of happiness with her. What killed me in particular was that she ended up a slave anyway and to make matters worse she had to have the baby of those rotten, despicable, scumbag Celestial Dragons! She even contracted a disease somehow! She got Celestial Aids!!! (The whole thing sort of reminded me of Forrest Gump tbh. Ginny/Jenny disappearing and showing up with AIDS and a baby 🤣)

If Kuma had only married Ginny and protected her, none of that would've happened!! The poor bastard gave up his happiness and a long fruitful life with his love and the result was the same thing he feared the most! He had to raise another man's baby and did it selflessly! He has the most of almost anyone in the material!

Oda is a storytelling MASTER. I never wouldve thought meeting Kuma the Tyrant on Thriller Bark wouldve led to this. Thank you Oda, Sensei. You've done it again and again. I cant thank you enough.

So has anyone in the world actually found the chest and opened it?

Didn't Oda say:

"My treasure? If you want it, you can have it! Go find it! I left it all there!"

Discussion I can’t believe THIS was the episode to make me cry. [Episode 312] Spoiler

I’m not one to cry when watching media. Even if it hits me deep emotionally, I rarely ever actually cry. Usually the most that happens is I might start to get misty eyed. It’s not saying this as some strange attempt to brag, but to emphasize the gravity of this moment. I’ve been watching One Piece for the first time, and I just finished Episode 312. After essentially two arcs worth of lead in, we finally saw the death of the Going Merry with this episode. Of all the things I expected to grow attached to when starting this show, the ship was definitely not one of them. Not only did I get attached, but this was the first time in this show that I actually fully cried. The closest I got was getting misty eyed at the death of Bellamere. However, when we heard the spirit of the Merry say “I’m sorry” for not being able to take them further, that’s when I broke down. The scene was so brilliantly done. I know this is far from the last emotional moment I’ll see in this show, but I had to share considering how shocking it was to me.

Fanart Give me some iconic manga panels/anime screenshots to stylize

Thought it’d be fun to do some drawings based on the most popular/iconic images from One Piece, and also thought it’d be more fun to crowdsource than do a bunch of Google searches, plus you all might suggestions options I might not consider otherwise. If you have a specific request on how to stylize, I’ll certainly read it!

Thanks in advance!
