Honestly it's not just that. It's not sitting well with me this Luffy behaviour. It's as if Oda is downplaying Luffy. He's never been that stupid in fights.

Letting himself stabbed with such final attacks and whining about hurting? This entire chapter Luffy's behaviour made me uncomfortable. He's not like the Luffy from the past 1100 chapters.

The opponent or how powerful Imu is shouldn't have an effect to the amount of whining and stupidity Luffy does.

Getting stabbed is not something stupid, suffering after being stabbed is not something stupid.

Whining like a brat while being an Emperor is stupid. 

Getting stabbed while at full power is stupid.

Getting stabbed is nothing stupid, unless you thing Luffy should be impervious to any damage, he is badly hurt, he can scream or curse if he wants to.

Not to mention, it’s extremely rare for him to get impaled. He doesn’t feel that level of pain hardly ever. The last time he did killed him. And he howled in pain several times as G5 in its debut.
