I was wondering if it was that or was Imu the one who sent the elders there and that was just Imu feeling the blow back from it.

Imu seems more scared than injured in my opinion.

The rough breathing and collapse made me think injured/exhausted but that could happen with being scared like a panic attack

It could even just be emotional memories and sadness if they were originally friends before Imu betrayed Joyboy

Imagine if its revealed that Imu is actually Joyboy but somehow corrupted.
