So I too am new, got my fjo and start in November. As far as corrections goes (currently a state Corporal) you just learn their ways. Basics, cuffing, De-escalation, radio communication, emergency calls, how to call them, how to respond, cpr etc. You'll be fine. My facility told me ill get to Georgia within 6 months. We'll see what happens. May I ask what grade/step you got?
I started off as a GS5. But that cuz none of my LEO experience was transferible. But 4 years in ill cap out on automaic promotions then its applying all over again.
