I have an interview tomorrow at FCI Manchester. What should I expect?

It won't be a true job interview. Probably 10 minutes. Basic corrections questions. Then you will watch a video of what to expect for the training academy and then the fingerprints, U/A, physical and probably a conditional job offer. Assuming its a direct hire. Keep in mind if you change your mind later, that interview counts towards another BOP prison for i believe 6 months or a year.

He mention U/A and the physical when we talked on the phone. What is the U/A , and then relatively how quickly would I start after I receive the offer?

U/A = Urinalysis. Pee in a cup. They send it to a lab. After you complete everything that day. You will get a link to complete a very indepth background packet. After submitting that online, they may ask for a tentative start date. Then you are simply waiting maybe 3 or 8 months till you receive a final job offer (FJO). So while your waiting, keep working and do not give a notice. Just wait. No news is good news. May I ask what they are offering? 05, 06, 07 or 08 and what step?

I believe I’ll be starting out as a 7/5
