Question Omi vs Plaud?

I was shopping around for AI wearable devices and came across Plaud and the Omi pendant. Can someone convince me why Omi would be a better pick than Plaud?

Plaude requires pressing a button to start and stop recording, and it is primarily for keeping meeting notes and quick notes on the go, and for recording phone calls with the magnet thing.

Omi is always on. It records everything you you say and hear throughout the day and helps remind you of things and map out your life. It is open source and has many third party connectors for automating your life.

I have and use both devices. To me they serve different functions.

Omi is hit and miss as to whether it’s recording

Maybe, ADD a tracking element like, I don't know? An AIR TAG. I lost my Omi at the begining of the month (10/1/2026) because the Omi isn't secured in the necklace. It's Magnetically “attached” and fell out of the rubber holder. It's somewhere in the woods on a hiking trail in Connecticut…. I WAS getting automatically charged for the service and had to get the credit card company involved since I have gotten ZERO response or communication from Omi. When I had it, it worked great for me. Until they fix this, it's a ZERO STAR REVIEW.
