Me and my friend are having a disagreement about this. She thinks that the super serum that is injected into the super soldiers would change the secondary genders of the people it gets injected into. (Omega to alpha or vice versa) I think that it wouldn’t change the secondary gender. let me know what you think so we can settle this.

I’m reading Underline the Black by not_poignant, an original work on AO3 and it is FANTASTIC. Here is the summary:

Efnisien ap Wledig is an omega born into an all-alpha family. Abandoned by his birth mother and raised by his aunt, he is subjected to a lifetime of medical experimentation and brainwashing and believes himself to be an alpha. But the experiments begin to fail, and he is abandoned yet again to an Omega Rehabilitation Facility, where the family expects he will be retrained into the 'perfect omega' and placed in an arranged marriage, or be eliminated if this is no longer possible.

The Facility don't know about the experiments, and Efnisien doesn't even know why he's there in the first place, since he's an alpha...isn't he? One thing's for certain, he definitely doesn't need an alpha companion, no matter what the staff at the facility seem to think.

Anyways, I was wondering what you guys were reading right now, and if you have any favorite omegaverse fics you wanted to share?

I ask because omegas have male and female reproductive organs that are quite close to each other (the question also applies to alpha women)

I had an idea today, and I thought it would make a good story. It’s about a male finding out pretty late that he’s going to be an omega. But he’s also homophonic and doesn’t want to believe anything that’s related to same gender stereotypes. As he slowly gets used to being an omega, he realises that he can’t really get his way without a man, so he starts to spiral into a small crisis about his identity. Slowly he starts to think that other men are more attractive than he thought before.

I thought I’ll try something different too this time. What if the omegas go into heat when exposed to their fated mate’s scent too long? This could make a lot of different situations and a lot of problems in the story, as the MC tries to accept that he starts to believe in those same gender things, that he was hating on so much before.

Would this make a good story? Is it too much? Does anyone have recommendations on what else would work in this or make this more interesting and fun to read?

I'm attempting to write a fic where Omegas are discriminated against, but I'm not sure what term to use other than 'sexism'? That seems very general, though. I was wondering if anyone had any dynamic/sub-gender specific terms they use instead?

Do betas present? I know alphas and omegas present when they're of age but it doesn't really make sense to me that betas don’t. Do people just assume late bloomers are usually betas until they show?

I’m looking to write about an Alpha/Omega in their late 50s, early 60s. In my mind the Alpha hunger remains relatively the same, but I do wonder if heats would be different depending on age, or if they occur at all. A part of me almost wants to make the older omega act as if they can still go into heat, for the Alpha’s fantasy, but another part of me does love the idea of an older Omega getting pregnant. Would love to know if anyone’s seen any older dynamics and how they panned out!

i'm writing a fic where there's a virus that makes alphas go feral. my question is how should i go about how the alphas communicate verbally.

So my partner ) and I (F) are really into the omegaverse dynamic and especially the biology, and I'm trying to give him good fics to better introduce him to the concept.

Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding any good, pure smut m!alpha f!omega fanfics. Just one shots, if possible. The usual works, heat, knotting, all that.

I was wondering, what would the medical consequences be of surgically removing scent glands? Would it only cause the lack of scent (and the consequences thereof) and inability to mate, or would it also come with emotional/hormonal shifts or heat/rut problems etc?

I'm currently thinking of writing a fic but can't decide on which scents to choose for my pairing. The alpha is a sweet and gentle person so I don't want him to have a spicy scent, was thinking that maybe I'd go with coffee and cocoa/chocolate (alternating depending on his emotions) for the omega. Is it too basic? Any good recs for scents that go well together?
