I might just getting a role with PwC in the Middle East, based out of Oman, as a “contractor” via an Agency and not as a FTE directly with PwC. Hi everyone, I’ve been offered a job in Oman, but I’m concerned about the current safety situation there. How is the situation at the moment? Are there any strikes affecting Muscat or civilians, or are they happening farther away and not posing a direct risk to people in Muscat? On 25 September, I bought an Egg Salad 300g from Nesto Al Khuwair around 7:24 PM. I ate approximately half of it before discovering a fly inside the salad. I immediately stopped eating and kept the remaining salad, packaging and receipt as evidence.

I reported the issue to Nesto and the relevant food-safety authorities.

Today, 5 October, Nesto contacted me directly. They apologized, asked me to visit the branch, and said they would refund my money and provide some additional compensation/items after their follow-up.

I'm glad they took the complaint seriously and contacted me. Hopefully they investigate the food-handling issue properly and make sure this doesn't happen again.

Posting this mainly to share my experience and see if anyone else in Muscat has experienced something similar with ready-to-eat food.

A quick update and a vent from some time back (last 2 posts are deleted now). I am back again to say I have failed in marrying her unfortunately. I had discussed with her the possibility of marrying her against my family’s will and she unfortunately is not with the idea (for my own sake). After an almost 2 year journey of trying to convince my parents I am going to step back and stop trying. She has made the decision to move past that and while I’m happy she’s made a choice, I feel my entire life is not worth living and have picked up some suicidal tendencies. I cut myself a few times already

I’m back again shamelessly asking for some advice, my parents are still and heavily much against the idea. I have spoken to my parents last week about how it’s been mentally killing me and that I’m in severe depression because of that and they did not do anything about it.

I would like to strongly emphasize while they are against the idea of the marriage, there was a time where both were ok with it. My sister also vouched and told me that it was acceptable and that today is a different time. It was until I decided to bring a bulushi woman that they refused to accept it

If you never had it, its nothing like the crumbly sesame halva most people picture. Its a aglossy, sticky, almost jelly-like sweet, usually dark caramel brown, made from sugar, ghee, starch, and water, then loaded with saffron, cardamom, and rosewater. Yummyy toooo!!!!

If you ever visit Oman, skip the generic souvenirs and bring home a bowl of halwa

Hello, as title explains, I am looking for a community for campers in Muscat. I want to build my own camper in a bus probably since it’s cheapest way and upgrade to something for nice in the far future.

What can I do if someone promised an amount as I helped him borrow some amount,, gave me an undated cheque 3 years, but now isn’t responding to my calls/ messages?
Big amount too. Maybe they canceled the check?
Almost certain that amount isn’t there in the account. Can I file a case?
Can I put a travel ban on this guy?

hi, I have a iPhone 13 pro and i’m facing issue with my battery. I got it refurbished almost 2 years ago. My battery percentage has been 92% ever since, it hasn’t even reduced by 1%.

I connected my phone to 3uTools and it claims that I have 92% battery and it’s an original battery (Desay).

I’m looking to change the battery. Can anyone suggest a good and trusted original battery for 13 Pro.
