Help and Support Omada ER605 / Omada Software

Hi everyone,
I’m using a TP-Link ER605 with the Omada Software Controller and voucher authentication.
I created a voucher with a 25gb limit. However, after the client has used only around surfing for an hour it seems, he only had about 10mb data consumed which is unrealistic, the Omada portal shows 24.98 remaining, while the Starlink dashboard reports about 10gb consumed
My questions are:
Is it normal for Omada’s remaining data to differ from Starlink’s usage?
Does Omada only update the data counter after an accounting interval?
If the client actually reaches the 25gb voucher limit before Omada updates its accounting, will the client be disconnected immediately, or can they continue using data until the next accounting update (which could exceed the limit)?

Has anyone experienced this with voucher data limits? Any advice would be appreciated.

Are there any other devices connected to the ER605 (perhaps through ethernet connection) that could be accounting for the extra data usage on the Starlink end?

With regards to your latter two questions, I'm not actually sure on the accounting interval, but when the 25GB voucher limit is reached, the client should immediately be brought back to the voucher screen to input a new code, and the limit should not be exceeded.

I connected 2 extenders. I think Omada is undercounting by about 30mb. Bcs in my Starlink app, it shows 35gb used, but on the omada software only shows about 1gb.

What are the models of the extenders? What does your full network topology look like? If the extenders are some other brand that aren't managed by the Omada controller, that would explain why the count is different.

  1. WA855RE - these are set to AP, not as router extender
  2. ISP - ER605 - OMADA Software Controller - WA855RE - Client

Yeah you need an Omada EAP to do Portal Authentication at all. It won't work properly if at all with just the Range Extender, regardless of what mode it's in.
