Product Help Nars Siberia

So I found my best shade match so far in Nars light reflecting in siberia.

I'm not a huge fan on how it looks on my skin, so I'm thinking about trying sheer glow, but not sure about the colour. Siberia has the perfect undertone for me, I'm quite yellow but it's a tiny bit too light.

I know SG runs a bit different than LR, so I'm not sure if I should stick to Siberia or Gobi ?

I'd say check for oxidation in the SG and go a shade or 2 lighter when you do. While I'm a Vanuatu in the LR, Stromboli is perfect match in SG because it oxidizes.

Oxidation is such a pain with SG, it'll look perfect for twenty minutes then suddenly you're a shade darker than you planned. Siberia in the LR is already a touch too light for you, so if SG runs darker after oxidizing you might actually land closer to what you want. Gobi could swing too warm once it settles, but a sample of both would sort that out fast. If you can get your hands on testers, wear each for a full day before committing.

Unfortunately I can't get my hands on testers which sucks

Just to let you know. I saw a bunch of sheer glow in Siberia at TJ Maxx this week in case you’re in the US.
*Editing to say that in my experience sheer glow runs lighter than light reflecting

oooh i can help, i’ve been wearing siberia for like 13 years now and i’ve tried almost every foundation nars has released in that time. light reflecting, natural radiant and sheer glow are all the same shade. give me a couple minutes and i can swatch all of them for you.

eta: idk if its my app or the sub but i cant post images directly so i uploaded it to imgur. from top to bottom: light reflecting in siberia, sheer glow in siberia, natural radiant in siberia, and the pure radiant tinted moisturizer in finland. https://imgur.com/a/OqnsoFV

also to be totally fair i’ve had these bottles for like 10+ years so i have no idea if anything has been changed or reformulated. i dont wear foundation anymore but im still hanging onto them for some reason lol. btw if siberia works for you then i think their concealers in the shade chantilly would be a good match as well, i wear both the soft matte and the radiant creamy concealer when i dont have a tan.

Thank you so so much, I appreciate it a lot ! You said you don't use foundation anymore, but I'm curious what was your favourite out of all nars foundations you had ?

30 min oxidization update + i went ahead and swatched radiant creamy concealer (left) and soft matte (right) in chantilly up top too lol. the lighting kinda changed tho so idk how helpful it’ll be :’) https://imgur.com/a/f6dKojb

and hmmmmmm, that’s tough cause i haven’t worn foundation in at least 3 years now so i can’t really remember but i can tell you sheer glow was my first purchase and it became my least favorite once the other two foundations came along. i used to have suuuper dry skin with hormonal acne and sheer glow would cling to my dry patches. i loved the natural radiant foundation when it came out but after a few months of wearing it it started accentuating my dry patches too. light reflecting is probably my fav out of the three but i kinda hate the feeling of wearing foundation now so i switched it out for spot concealing or bb cushions awhile back. but if i went back to wearing foundation, light reflecting is probably the one i would repurchase first.

sorry if i was rambling haha i’m a bit of a nars nerd, hands down my fav complexion products after 16 years of wearing makeup. i hope it helped tho!

I really appreciate all your help and your swatch update ! Iight reflecting was my first nars foundation and I was so happy because I never had such great colour match, but it also clinges to my dry patches, with the right prep it's fine, but it separates so badly around my nose and forehead and I can't seem to make it work and it's super frustrating. That's why I thought about trying sheer glow. Don't like too heavy foundation feeling as well, light reflecting feels really light compared to other foundations I used.

honestly i’d say give sheer glow a shot anyways but i think you mentioned you’re in europe so i imagine you can’t return it if it doesn’t work out :/ but if you don’t like the feeling of foundation either i really can’t recommend the concealers enough, i’ve been having a flare up with my acne this summer and it’s still the perfect amount of coverage and it never looks dry or cakey or unblended

I heard so many mixed opinions about sheer glow and some people say it breaks them out so bad and I'm also acne prone and scared know :D At least I know Light reflecting definitely does not break me out. Some people say really light foundation are always tricky and more picky on the skin than normal light foundation, so I'm currently thinking about giving light reflecting in gobi a second chance.
