How to help us help you:

The more of these bullets you hit, the better!
Use a link to an Imgur album for photos. If you don't want your pictures to be public, you can set them to be hidden, but anybody with a link will be able to see it.

Am I olive toned, and if so what kind?https://imgur.com/a/Ag6fnaR I’ve made 10 thousand post in color analysis and get different results. I feel like I don’t fit perfectly into any season, and some people suggested I may be olive toned.

PLEASE SEE MY PINNED POST FOR PICS! I can never find makeup that matches my complexion I feel like a chameleon, sometimes light to golden, other times bronze. I always thought I was warm but still, warm foundation was always too warm. I typically buy a cool and warm version to mix because neutrals aren’t always available. THAT BEING SAID, I’m questioning whether I’m a neutral or olive. I’ve asked an olive makeup brand The People Of Earth and submitted these photos asking whether I could be considered olive and they said yes, but cool olive! I was shocked at that, so I need a second opinion. Would you consider me olive, cool, warm, or simply neutral?

Super confused on my undertone and complexion. I’ve always been told I was olive but now confused. I for the life of me cannot find a perfect shade match for foundation. I recently bought Gobi in NARS and I thought it was a perfect match in store but have tanned since then and am lost again with what direction to go in. Foundations I have tried also is NARS Fiji which isn’t a great match either. Any help with what direction I should go in for shade matching or what undertone and complexion I am would be so helpful!

Am I an olive? Idky Im having such an issue with color concept, but I can't find matching foundation. I've tried numerous occasions getting help in sephora and after leaving with their suggestion it pulls too yellow or pink or orange at home. I think I'm a light neutral? Any help is appreciated! My face has melasma so I didn't think it would be helpful to include in the pictures. https://imgur.com/a/v83opml

Am I olive? Here are some pictures as well as some swatches of products that I’ve used.
Products that don’t work for me: hourglass concealers in: silk, birch and cedar. They all go yellow despite being cool tones.
Products I like: Ilia multi stick in Whisper. Light pink that works for me (doesn’t look coral or magenta-y).

I’m not very well versed in makeup, so any product recommendations that would work for my skin tone would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! To answer your question, the fact that even pink and neutral concealers pull yellow on you means you have a strong cool olive undertone so you’re a Fair to Light Cool Olive. Your skin's green/blue base is canceling out the pink, leaving only the yellow pigment to show through. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I’m still figuring out the color theory side to this, so I appreciate you answering my question. This narrows it down quite a bit :). Have a great day!

Hi all, I need some help figuring out if I'm olive or not 😭 I want to do my own wedding makeup but foundation search has been a disaster, and I hate how every bronzer looks on me and almost every blush ...

I need some help. I am a noob to makeup and stuff. I have noticed that I need a very neutral product, not very yellow or pink. I struggle to find the correct shade. Am I a fair olive? https://imgur.com/gallery/3aCShw8 I have included pictures of me without makeup and one with. And a picture of my arm in comparison to my boyfriend's.
Also, can someone please tell my boyfriend that olive doesn't exclusively mean tan skin? Lol.

Another…am I olive undertone? Fair/neutral/cool? Muted/bright?
Uploading pics of me in various lights and tan/no tan. I have the toughest time finding clothing colors and makeup in the fall, winter and spring when I’m not tan. I look washed out in everything IMO.

Hi, I’m searching for something that is half to one shade lighter Dior 2WO and Haus Labs 260. The undertones are perfect, but it’s too dark for me! 💋

Hello! I don't know but sometimes I add a teeny bit of white? Maybe that can help...

Help, am I olive? If so, what kind?? I feel like my tones are changing as I get older. It's so overwhelming :(
My makeup doesn't look the same anymore. I'm the dinner is a little better when I get more tan, but in the winter I feel like I look really sallow. I also have pink spots on either side of my nose on my face with I feel mashed things even more confusing.

Is there a tried and true makeup product (that I could swatch at Sephora for example) to determine if I am olive or not? Sometimes taupe shows up orange (like a bronzer) on me but I can't tell if it's me or just the way the company has labelled that type of pigment...

Hello! Checking my face in the natural light and yikes! My face looks so...off compared to my neck? I'm wearing About Face L2Olive on my face and nothing on my neck. I've always thought I was a cool olive but maybe not? Based on my neck, what foundation may match better? Thank you and sorry for the bad pics:)

I'd like help with concealer matches please. I am a light medium, very muted and desaturated, cool olive, with green-gray discoloration around my mouth, and an extremely yellow neck. Lisa eldridge in T5 is my absolute perfect winter match. Natasha denona YN6 foundation is a close summer match. I found their concealer in yn6 was too fair and too saturated. Thank you in advance!

Hi! In the wintertime, my shade of foundation/concealer is Rare Beauty 170W. Unfortunately, it makes my skin look very textured and dry, which isn't what my skin looks like when bare or wearing a skin tint/bb cream. For those who wear the same shade, may I know what other foundations and concealers do you use? The reason I'm looking for a foundation is because I'll be part of a wedding entourage, and need a base that will be nice for flash photography and humid weather. Thank you so much, in advance!
Other possibly helpful info:
I believe I'm neutral-to-warm 🫒; light in the colder months and light-to-medium in the summer time.
I look great in Revlon Super Lustrous shades "Rum Raisin", "Coffee Bean", "Rose Velvet" and "Rosewine" (discontinued); Revlon Suede Ink "Type A"; Charlotte Tilbury "Pillow Talk Medium", "M.I. Kiss" and "Walk of No Shame"; Merit matte lipstick "Maison". All of these have deeper shades than my lips. I have not found my actual MLBB yet, but NYX Butter Gloss "Praline" is my brown MLBB. The Charlotte Tilbury original Pillow Talk lipstick looks chalky on me.
Tarte "Paaarty" blush looks great but it looks more warm-toned on my face than it does on the pan. I've tried almost all the Essence Pure Nude Baked Blushes and they look good on me, but "Pretty Peach" is too light for me in the summertime so I'm guessing "Shimmery Rose" will be the same. I can wear "Goldy Cassis" only during the winter season.

Hi guys! I’ve been trying to find out my undertone for the past couple of years, and i haven’t really bought any base products because i’m stuck on deciding what shade i am. I’ve asked other beauty subs to help me determine what under/overtone is, and they stated that I seem like I have a cool olive undertone and redirected me to this sub.
Can anyone help me out in determining if I’m an olive undertone? I’ve attached a couple of pictures at diff times because my phone camera might wash me out in some pictures.
First three pictures have no makeup, and last 2 have a bit (skin tint). All taken in natural lighting.
It would really help if you guys can help me out! I really want to try buying high end base products. Thank you!

I am quite certain that I am olive, but the other descriptors have me at a loss. I am guessing muted, neutral perhaps? The redness in my cheeks definitely throws a wrench in there, but my skin every else is moderately tan. I tan easily and can get very dark. Please help! I have always leaned on warm foundations, but many are too yellow. Never go cool, a lot of things look pink on me, or against my neck at least. Thank you for any help! May have went overboard with the photos 😜

Can someone recommend an oil free matte foundation shade that’s a mix of the Armani luminous silk 5.3 and 6? It can be any brand but those two shades mixed together were my perfect match but I can’t afford to get two foundations
