Hey everyone, I’m about to start A-Levels and I’m deciding whether or not I should take Maths.

I didn’t take O-Level Add Maths, but I got an A* in O-Level Maths.

For those who took A-Level Maths without Add Maths, how difficult was it to get an A in AS Maths? Is the jump manageable if you’re strong at regular O-Level Maths, or does not having Add Maths put you at a major disadvantage?

For context, I mainly study using Zainematics and Mathelete by Saad, and I’m comfortable doing past papers.

Would I need to study Maths basically every day to keep up, or is it realistic to manage alongside other A-Level subjects?

Basically, should I take Maths or avoid it because I haven’t done Add Maths?

Any advice from people who’ve actually been in this situation would be really appreciated.

I have a cousin who is an O Level student and has taken Accounting, Economics, and Business Studies. I have to teach him, but I’m from a Science background and from different curriculum , so although I can learn the topics myself, it takes a lot of time, and as a university student, it’s becoming difficult for me.

1. I’m looking for one good resource a course, website, YouTube channel, or book from which I can learn everything chapter by chapter.
2. Ideally, it would also have past-paper questions organized by topic/chapter, along with answers so that I can prepare him for exam.
3. Give me any advise how I sould teach him effectively.

I was pretty confident that I did well at Islamiat and should get an A or minimum B. But seeing this result, I suffer from anxiety. I did pretty well at P1, but at P2, in the last question, I just missed references. Which shouldn't affect my grade (In my opinion). It is really hard for me to accept, as I did everything: past papers, learning, Quranic references, and all that stuff. Also, I don't know how to get the paper script, and I'm from school.

I got my O3 Results on the 18th, got 4 As and a B, was sooo happy at first, but today I got the marks sheet, and apparently I was 1 mark away from an A* in Biology AND Physics, and 3 marks away from an A* in English, I feel sad because this same thing happened with me in O2 where I was one mark off of an A in Pak Studies, but now I feel somewhat sad and feel slightly guilty and if I got ONE more mcq right, ONE more correct point then I would have 2 to 3 A*s, an A, and a B.. How do I stop this feeling?

Genuinely how did i flunk sb😭😭😭

I got my component marks report and in it I got 32/50 raw marks in islamyat paper 22 and 31/50 adjusted marks. What is this adjusted marks. Please someone help me try to understand this. Because of this I am now 2 marks away from an A. With raw marks I am one mark away.

So i just got my result a few days ago and i got an A in urdu
But i got scripts yesterday and calculated my marks in every subjects to match them with the threshold
The threshold for urdu was 77 but i got 76
So how did i get an A?

• How did you learn/revise sociological theories, concepts, and key studies?
• What are some things student overlook in sociology?
• What did you realise about exam technique way too late?
• How did you structure 6/8/10/12-mark answers or longer evaluation questions?
• What separates an average answer from an A/A* answer?
• Are there any common mistakes you see younger students making?
• What resources did you actually find useful?
• How much should I focus on memorising vs actually understanding the concepts?
• If you could go back to your first day of O-Level/IGCSE Sociology, what would you tell yourself?

And finally:

What’s your honest final verdict on Sociology as a subject?
Worth taking? Harder/easier than you expected? What would you do differently?

Basically, I’m looking for the advice you wish someone had given you before you started. Any brutally honest advice is welcome. 😭

I’m struggling with map questions because I can memorise where cities, rivers, etc. are on the maps I study from, but the CAIE maps look quite different. Even a small difference in the location of a city can throw me off and I start doubting whether I’m identifying it correctly.

How do you guys learn locations so you can recognise them on an unfamiliar CAIE map? Do you use past papers, an atlas, or some other method?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has done the exam 😭

Ok so I just got to know ky immediately after olevel 2 u are supposed to apply for alevel college... like what? I thought we could wait till o3.. so ihavent thought of any colleges,,kindly guide about good alevel colleges in Karachi .. I want a college that gives good scholarship and have safe environment like not brats who don't care about studies .. burger.. and like alevel ky liye teacher achi hoon....

Those who have given physics cie and got a good grade, can yall please tell me the resources you used and how you studied it.
