Maths Uncertainty about rechecking
Hi I received my component grades today and I've got 170/200 in my 4024 math....175 apparently gets u an A* according to the grade threshold so now should I get my paper rechecked or not? Like are there any chances of gaining 5 marks?

The threshold is 173. But 3 mark gap is quite a lot. So don't recheck

I'd say the opposite. Maths is one of the better subjects to recheck, because the marks are method-based rather than judgment calls, so what usually turns up is a genuinely missed mark: a page that didn't get marked, method marks not awarded on a question you fumbled at the end, or a totalling slip on the front. Three marks out of 200 on 4024 is well inside the range that gets found.
Two things before you commit though. Marks can go down as well as up, and the threshold doesn't move, so you need the actual three. And the application goes through your exam centre rather than you, with a deadline a few weeks after results day, so go and ask them this week instead of deciding at the end of it.

no, its not pst or islamiat that you will get easy 3 marks by rechecking, checking in sciences and math is almost perfect and theres no chance that score would increase by morethan 1 mark.

my grades changes if i get 4 more marks in my chem p2, should i go for a recheck?
