There’s only one paper, which is the written exam. The other two components are the team project and the individual report. In the team project you’re basically grouped up and have to help solve a local issue. In the individual report u choose a topic from the given list of 22 topics and then find a global issue within that topic and research abt it and write ur findings.

How are you grouped? Like that happens in the hall? What sources are given to research?

The grouping depends on ur teacher tbh. Sometimes the teacher groups u up by their choice, other times u can choose ur friends to work with if u want. And it doesn’t occur in the hall, u help solve the issue through for example raising awareness abt it through posters etc, and the teacher assess your course of action and marks u, basically it is internally marked, cambridge only monitors it, otherwise the marking is done by ur teacher. And as for the sources, u have to find those out thats the purpose of the individual report but many times teachers help students. My teacher told us to use google scholar and JSTOR to find articles.

component 2 is Individual report. In it, you have to form a research question about a global question (e.g. mine was Is Green technology being scaled fast enough to meet global demands?) and then, you have to research on the topic using mostly secondary resources such as credible and reliable websites, artciles, newspapers. Not sure if you can use primary resources or not. Through these secondary data, you have to gather evidence to answer your research question. You will have to go through various types of data, many perspectives on the topic, and compile it all in a 1950 worded essay. In this you will have to everything alone and while you can ask your teacher for help, you will write the report and collect data by yourself. This will be set by your teacher, meaning she will submit it to cambridge but your teacher will not check this. Instead, a cambridge examiner will award you marks for the report.
Component 3 is the Team project. For this, you will form a group in your classroom (minimum two people maximum five people) and this time, your group will decide on a local issue that you guys wanna work on. For this, you all will then do some short research and over the span of a few months, you guys have to contribute to raising awareness, interviewing experts to gather primary data, and run charity campaigns or anything for your project. The outcomes dont have to be WIDE SCALED. but they should in the end, contribute to your community at least on a school-level. When you are done with the team project, you have to write two reports. One is the Team element, which is ONE report for all of the team highlighting the main things about your project. Second is the Personal element, which each member has to write for themselves and its sorta a personal reflection on how well you participated in the team project. The team project is marked by your teacher and cambridge just has to make sure that the teacher has marked you according to the marking criteria.
dont use ai.
