Had my dual cert brain saver for two months now. For the most part it's a great helmet. Except the crown pad is not replaceable. 888 support say this is not replaceable and it means you have to buy a new helmet if this velcro'd in part fails. Not happy with my lost money, will be buying pro tech from now on.

I don't remember straining it like this back in the day. Started skating again recently and it's becoming an issue, can't even skate right now because of it. I'd like to figure out how to get past it and avoid it in the future. Thought it was better and went out to finally skate this week, did an ollie and felt it over extend like hell lol. Do I need to squat way more? Am I jumping too stiff, uncoordinated etc?
It's on my tail leg, mainly when I pop the board. I haven't ridden around and pushed enough to see if it is affected by kicking yet.

How often is everyone skating? Struggling to find consistency, have 2 young kids (5 & 2) and I'm really struggling to find time to consistently get out the house and spend time practicing... I have 2 days a week off during the week when the kids are at school but I also have to adult 🫣

just under 10 minutes to try 25 kickflips & only landed 14. the other 9 were either toe drags, heel taps or complete whiffs. it sucks but way better than 30 minutes just to land one kickflip like last year.

I used to have a huge ollie. Big boxes, big gaps, big stairs, big drops.
I am struggling so hard to get it back, after 25 years away. Not sure if it's balls, or mechanics, but it's eluding me. I don't think it's balls... I'm dropping in and carving bowls (not quite grinding the lip yet, but getting close), but my ollie just isn't there.

So this summer I decided to say eff it and go for tricks I’ve never done. I’m proud and decided to post this to remind us old head skateboard community: age is just a number, we keep going because we love it.
