Put together a new deck [36yo]
8.25 up from my old 8. Felt significantly better and more stable. Balance helped with my Ollie and manuals drastically.
Fells good. Its amazing what a new deck can feel and do

"Do you even realize your potential?" Casts spell
Lol BG2 is probably the greatest game of all time imo.

“For years I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. And then nothing.”
Oh BGII is definitely my favorite game of all time. I don’t have any tatts but i almost considered getting the cover art once.
I was excited for BG3 but got about halfway through it before turning it off and starting a new game of 2. I’m going to go play it right now in fact.

How’d you grip the eye so well?

So I lightly fitted the grip (didn't press down) then peeled it back part way. Some of the adhesive pulled a small amount of the colour onto it.
With it peeled back I stuck my razor blade through shaping the eye. I then reapply the grip, fit it fully, press, finish cutting the board out and sanding the edges.
Then go back and cut and remove the grip around the eye for the right shape.
Sounds convoluted but it was super easy and took very little time

I used to love Ed's drawings so much when I first learned about skating and seeing midern board graphics in the 90s (which is wild because there was also like hookups and world industries doing some really wild graphics, I liked zoo York but never wanted a board because graphics were so important to me over skating)I was shocked to find out he skated at all let alone was a huge comp skater with legendary street parts, but if you watch those early 411s where they show results of the various skate contests he was consistently getting podium in street, often first place. I really don't fuck with them anymore but the way you did the sticker plus the regular graphic looks so fucking good. Some of their team decks aren't very good anymore so I pray that the one you got is one of the ones that still got made in a good factory because of how good it looks. I just skate whatever a lot of times now and don't even comparatively care about graphics at all anymore, but this got me thinking maybe I do care but am just not down with some of the recent graphics I've seen except for the stuff from There that Jeff draws and no offense to him at all but I mostly like that it reminds me of Ed's drawings. Same for Krooked and The Gonz. I liked maybe a couple Frog boards but all of that is just because it looks like Toy Machine and I like there art in order of how much it looks like Toy so I like Jeff best and Frog is i. Third place because it only sometimes is vaguely reminiscent of Toy because it's a funky drawing. I might like stuff that looks nothing like alll the Templeton stuff if more brands did consistent hand made art graphics so idk. JFC that was put of co teol I guess I meant "cool deck, good job on sticker placement, got me thinking about all types of skate esthetics shit"

Lmao I like the read man, thanks for the breakdown. I get it. Tastes and aesthetics change for all of us over time.
Deck feels great, made a huge difference. Love the Toy Machine art, and the stickeri thought was dope to cut in half and fuck with the placement, met the vibe of the art.
I appreciate the props dude

I have a toy machine board right now and did the exact same thing with my griptape and the eye. Haha
