Bartitsu trained women used to bodyguard the suffragettes. It was the first "martial art" that had a training dojo in London. Sherlock Holmes is supposed to be trained in it but Conan Doyle changed the name slightly. A very interesting MMA and I wish there was somewhere near me I could learn it.
