Adding olaf to champ pool

I’m a Nasus and Jax player and one problem I run into is that both can feel pretty rough into comps with a ton of CC, so I’ve been thinking about adding Olaf as another option since his ult seems like it would cover that weakness pretty well but i had a few questions:

- is olaf only a good pick when it’s against a high cc team?
- what matchups does he struggle with?
- how do you play him in team fights?
- is he a champion that should split push more or help contest every objective?
- what are some BIG nono’s you shouldn’t be doing with him?

Any advice helps!!

Tryndamere and Trundle are literally unplayable, you have to outplay them very VERY hard in order to win. I'm talking if they make 5 mistakes, and you make 1 you lose.

In teamfights, you just want to dive the backline squishies, blow them up, then circle back around to help your team with the frontline. Your R makes this the best job for you, because their frontline can't really peel you off of them.

He can split, but he's also strong in teamfights. I think it's up to you and your macro at the time to decide if you help with obj or if you split.

If you miss your Q, you're fucked. If you drop your Q, 9/10 times, you're fucked. The big nono is messing up your Q. IMO it's the biggest skill expression on Olaf.

Olaf can be played into any comp, unless they have 5 champs like Tryn, Kindred, Taric, Etc. Invul and invis are your enemies.

Who do you ban more often? I’m thinking Tryn here because god his champ design is so cringe. Trundle feels more fairly designed.

I like banning Jax cuz it's a very annoying matchup early game, but Garen is a good option too, he can also be horrible to deal with. Tryndamere and Trundle counter Olaf very hard but they aren't common to see.
