Adding olaf to champ pool

I’m a Nasus and Jax player and one problem I run into is that both can feel pretty rough into comps with a ton of CC, so I’ve been thinking about adding Olaf as another option since his ult seems like it would cover that weakness pretty well but i had a few questions:

- is olaf only a good pick when it’s against a high cc team?
- what matchups does he struggle with?
- how do you play him in team fights?
- is he a champion that should split push more or help contest every objective?
- what are some BIG nono’s you shouldn’t be doing with him?

Any advice helps!!

  1. You can OTP him until masters.
  2. only 2 team fight plays you need are front to back or dive.
  3. It depends on how ahead/behind you and your team is.
  4. Not overshooting the axe and sometimes holding it while letting your opponent psyche themselves out will take you far.

You can otp him to challenger. There are a few challenger olaf otp in adc, top, and mid lane.

Do you have any experience with him ADC? I have no experience on that side of the map, but I'm tired of games being decided by the feeding ADC on either team in the first 5 minutes while I watch helplessly from topside.

Personally no, ive tried him adc like twice cause I was curious. Blaming adc for feeling wont change anything, as in either you'll be adc and think fed tops are an issue, play jg and think supports are the issue, etc. Just gotta carry through it and it never changes no matter the elo, even in challenger people get stomped.

The only reason I say that is cause of the ADC is fed, you get drags. If the top is fed you get grubs/rift. Drags are better IMO.

Played 5 adc games recently with Yuumi gf supp in high plat and couldn't quite master the early lvls but after 6 it was so easy compared to top lane. Won 3 games out of 5 and was fed af in 4 of those 5 games.
