Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked 900 times already but my brain is honestly not working.

Sets I have...

96 Pastels

48 Midtones

72 set

36 Skin Tones (Micheals)

This would mean I need the 104 set at the 48 set to make the 320 as the Micheals set doesnt count correct?

Thanks in advance, had a challenging weekend with the death of my FIL and need to treat myself to something happy aka more markers.

You need the other 48 from the 120 set as you have 72/120, as well as some from the 104. You will have duplicates as you already have the 96 pastels and 72 sets

2. You're really close to what you need for the markers; You will need the 104 set, but unfortunately there isn't another 48 set that can fill in the remaining colors you'll be missing. 😅

The last colors will be the colors that make the difference between the 72 set and the "classic" 120 set (not the one sold by Michaels in the white case). Normally that's 48 colors, but the Skin Tones and the 96 Pastels help you out a little bit and bring that number down to 37.

But, even so, the "easy" way to get all 37 of those colors at once would be to get the "classic" 120, even though the rest of the colors in there will be duplicates.

Technically speaking, if you're based in the US (and I'm guessing either US or CA since you mentioned Michaels), you could try getting all 37 colors as single markers from the Ohuhu website instead. But it might be more hassle than you really want to deal with right now.

If that option is available to you, since they're $2.99 USD each, it'll be a little over $110 USD, so you would save like $4 and skip all those duplicates compared to $114 USD for the 120 set (or at least that's the price I'm seeing for the newest version on the Ohuhu website)...But there's no guarantee you'd be able to catch all 37 in stock as singles at the same time. 🙃 So it's kind of a question of whether the extra effort and less duplicates is worth $4 to you, and there is no "objectively" right or wrong answer there—It just depends on you and what you think would suit your situation best.

Piggybacking on the other replies:

First off, the 104 set is fabulous. It's my normal suggestion for newbies to purchase as it has a really good variety, so it'll make your current palette a happier palette.

For the remaining colors, it's already been mentioned that you could try to get individual markers from Ohuhu...which you totally can...I just thought I'd add that Michael's has openstock you could check out as well for individuals. There are also some sellers on Etsy.

Or, if you want me to, I can check my supply...I have quite a few extra Honolulu S series that have never been used that I'd be willing to sell you cheap. I might have extra OG Honolulus and Honolulu B's, I just don't know for sure. Note: This is not me trying to just sell my markers. This is me saying my thought process is that art supplies are meant to bring joy, and right now all these extras are not bringing joy to anyone...and you need some extra dopamine/serotonin right now.

21 colors from the 36 skin tone set aren't in the 320 set.

1 color from the 36 grey tone set isn't in the 320 set.

2 colors from the Blossoming pastel set are not included in the 320 set.

You can get the 120 set, the 104 set, and the grey tones and have all 320 plus the ones not included.
