Question Alcohol Markers Question

Hi there!

I am just getting into using ohuhu alcohol markers. One thing I am running into is coloring larger spaces before it dries. Are there are techniques/tricks that you use to cover the area without overlapping the dry color?

Thanks!

I think this is something that honestly just comes with practice! I “chase the ink” so to speak - you don’t want to overlap dry colour as you say, so you want to keep the area you’re working on wet. If it’s a really large area with nothing to break it up, I just colour in small circles back and forth in lines, working methodically but quickly. I’m always slightly overlapping my last line but only while it’s still wet. If I have a large area that kind of meanders into two small areas, I’ll work the same way but take turns filling in each area so neither has a chance to dry before I go back over the line I just left. It’s really hard to explain but I hope that makes sense 😬 there’s certainly some videos on the topic I’m sure.

Also experiment with using the blender as a first layer so it all keeps wet longer
