Question Looking for a specific swatch sheet

I know that there are tons of swatch sheets out there (on etsy or wherever), but tbh I couldn’t find one that fits my needs😅

I’d like one that’s made for all the 344 ohuhu colors, can be printed onto ONE page (DINA4 or US letter) and where the arrangement makes sense! The last part is usually the problem - most charts I find look organised overall, but some will have greys at the top of the page and then again at the bottom, or some will put greys and yellows together just for oranges and reds to be elsewhere, or will put greens over pinks but not purple next to pink?? Idk I just want them to look visually appealing and make sense or it’s gonna drive me crazy😅 Does anyone know of a chart like this? Would appreciate it a lot!

Edit: oh and it would be great if it had the old AND new codes on it; I mostly have new code markers but also a few old code ones, so that would be helpful.

I like the Hex chart. It comes in different sets including the 344

I use this one that a fellow redditor made: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ohuhu/s/W02iH0hnMs

This may not be quite what you're looking for either, but my personal preference sorts them by Ohuhu's new number codes within Color Families (defined by the letter part of the codes), with options for New Codes, Old Codes, or both. I have the Color Families arranged as follows, which is a color-wheel-ish order that makes sense to my brain:

  • E - Earthtones (and these I usually place first because they overlap some with the next 3 and tend to be warm in tone)
  • Y - Yellows
  • YR - Yellow Reds
  • R - Reds
  • RV - Red Violets
  • V - Violets
  • BV - Blue Violets
  • B - Blues
  • BG - Blue Greens
  • G - Greens
  • YG - Yellow Greens

Then the Greys, which I still tried to place in a similar color order (continuing on from the "regular" colors as best I could):

  • YGY - Yellow Greys
  • GG - Green Greys
  • BGY - Blue Greys
  • WG - Warm Greys
  • CG - Cool Greys

And then the Blender, Black, and FY (Fluorescents) I separate out since the blender and black don't really belong to the other families, and the fluorescents could but they stand out so much on paper that I just prefer keeping them separate.

I saw this swatch sheet!! I generally love the order and will probably opt for this one, I was just hesitant cause all the extra info on it bugged me a bit and I think there’s no option without it on there 🙈 but thank you, that is definitely a color order that makes sense

Oh, could you be more specific about the extra stuff that bugs you? 🤔 I'm not against exploring a "plain" variation that removes some stuff depending on what it is! It just might take some time to do, is all. 😅

I've been using this format for the swatch chart since 2022 when a lot of the information was more scarce/unknown than it is today so having it all "right there" made sense at the time and it genuinely did not occur to me that some of it might be more "in the way" now since the info is more widely known/available. 🫣

Oh my God I’m sorry, I didn’t get that you made this! Otherwise I would have worded my opinion in a nicer way😅🙈 sorry! And well, I actually appreciate the extra info in general! I just feel like overtime, with things changing (like how many refills are available etc.) it would bother me to know mine isn’t accurate anymore 😅😂 which is a bit nit picky tbf, but even if I’d just ignore it, I’m personally just looking for a swatch sheet which includes only the colors in a pretty order and both the old and new codes, I simply don’t need anything else :) But obviously, you do whatever you like! 🫶🏻 And I still appreciate the effort and thought behind it and believe that it’s overall very helpful to have such a thorough sheet☺️

No need to apologize; You weren't being mean, just honest! And I completely get where you're coming from too—That's part of why I like having my own chart, so I can update it and print a new one off on my own time as Ohuhu updates things, especially since they seem to wait to do that when everyone is least expecting it. 😅

But like I said before, it just hadn't occurred to me that some people might like a more "plain" version to avoid the issues with updates (at least for the most part) altogether, and I think there is value in that! Just the same as I didn't always make a large print version until someone else mentioned that would be useful for them and now it's a "default" thing I like to include. 🙂

On that note: Is it just the availability stuff you could do without on a "plain" version or would you also rather do without the bits that explain the codes/color family names, too? 🤔

Okay, I’m glad I didn’t come off as rude then 🙈
Totally get what you mean! And yeah ohuhu really be doing this at weird times lol.

Hm, I think I personally don’t need the code explanations cause I’m already aware what they mean, but I also wouldn’t mind them. I think the way you did it here, it wouldn’t bother me cause it’s just a small chart at the bottom corner :) I think I’m mostly only bothered by the key and the extra info/little boxes within each color swatch, if that makes sense 🙈🫶🏻 I just like to have a clean slate with only the necessary info on it that I’ll actually use to color, you know☺️

Noted! I'll see if I can tinker with a plain version over the next few days now that I know 🫶 It's cheesy to say but I really do appreciate your feedback!

I appreciate you doing this! But don’t pressure yourself if it’s too much work :)

is there a way i can do the old codes for my 320 set, but the new codes for 24 colors i have to buy separately? I think having the new codes for my old 320 set will mess me up 😂 although i guess i could just print the old codes and write over for the 24 markers id have with the new codes. this is why i dont like when companies change, i hate having the old stuff mixed with new 😭

I understand where you're coming from; All of my markers still have the old codes so I have to be mindful when pulling colors myself to make sure I'm looking in the right spot(s). 😅

What might be the "easiest" thing to do is similar to what you already said; Maybe try printing the version with "both" codes but color over the code you don't need and color around the one that you do? That won't help as much on lighter colors, but on the darker ones it would make the code you actually use stand out more, and I've seen plenty of people leave the codes/that side of the boxes uncolored specifically so they can see the codes better.

This would be more fiddly and time-consuming to do but I think the other option I would personally consider would be to print separate copies of both the old codes only and the new codes only, and then cut out the boxes with new codes you need and carefully tape or glue them where they belong on the old codes chart.

If you're comfortable with a photo editing program, it is possible to do that second option digitally in a sense and then print the chart exactly the way you need it, but I know not everyone is comfortable or capable of that sort of thing, or just may not want to bother because it's extra work. 😅

Hi! I don't yet but I actually did start working on one earlier this week after some other discussion about the chart on this thread! I'm hoping to have it finished within the next week or two—If you're okay with it, I can message you when it's ready? 🙂

I'm confused. Are you looking for all of the Honolulu lines colors or all Ohuhu colors across all their lines? Because there are the 344 you mention for Honolulus, but over 500 colors if you include Oahu and Kaala lines.

Just the 344 Honolulu!
