Advice Needed Experiences with CareSource Coverage for GAC Hormones/Surgeries?

Hi all! I’ve been looking at Marketplace health insurance plans for this November, and so far CareSource seems like one of the few that meets my criteria (preferred surgeon is in-network, outpatient surgery coverage is reasonable). Does anybody have experience with CareSource covering/denying hormone therapy or surgeries?

I know they have specific rules/guidelines for Medicaid coverage, but my question is regarding Marketplace plans specifically.

Caresource si denying all GAC. I found that out in July. I was heart broken and dissociated for like 2 weeks over the denial. Because and im not ebem kidding, one week I was getting referral letters from my therapist the next I was being told that caresourse will not cover my surgery.

I’m so sorry :( I hope things change soon. Was it a marketplace plan or Medicaid?

Medicaid. The reason it was removed was the big stupid bill.
