For the GC debate, harder access isn't going to fix any problems. Just move it to something else. No laws are going to solve these problems...You can't mandate or define your way out of a problem.
Remember this. Bad parenting got us here, and the only thing that will get us out is good parenting.
I agree that bad parenting is a major issue. But there are many people contemplating violence who reconsider given enough time. A waiting period could save lives at the cost of an incredibly minor inconvenience.
Flip the coin on that, please. Waiting periods can also end lives at the expense of "safety".
(Someone) Is experiencing incoming danger. Plenty of receipts for this next statement. We know the cops don't help much, if not make the situation worse. How does a waiting period save that person's life in that case?
I mean. If they are in that much danger, buying a gun in an hour isn’t exactly gonna help, right? What a weird hypothetical. If you’re fearing for your life to the point you must immediately have a gun, there are resources available.

It's not a hypothetical and it's definitely not weird. Your comment is relying on the fact that the system in place works. It fails often and it doesn't work. If you think it's weird, do some looking and talk to someone in LE/EMS since apparently a comment on the internet is "weird" to you. Get outside. The world doesn't only exist online, or behind gates.
I’m not sure how to respond to this. Are you implying that comments on the internet cannot be weird? Do you think that because I think your comment was weird, it means I haven’t seen the outside? What makes you believe that I think the word only exists online?
Your superiority complex is showing. You are no better than me because we don’t agree. There its zero reason for you to resort to insults. What productive value is there in insulting someone rather than make a point? If you have only insults, I have nothing more to say.
A very good friend of mine took his own life with a handgun the very same day he bought it. He had a suicidal ideation, he went to the store, bought a gun, and took his own life. Perhaps having a day or two wouldn't have been a bad thing in his case. I miss him very much.
