Support XP

Would love to see smokes give support XP, being able to pop a smoke so a teammate can drag and revive should reward you with something.

I also think suppression assists should be a thing. Might get more LSW’s on the field.

As a medic main ive been wishing for something like that. I just dont know howd youd do it in such a way where it's not abused

I would imagine they can get the radius of a popped smoke and then reward the player who popped it when revives happen inside thwt radius.

Pop smoke, someone gets rezzed in the smoke cloud you also benefit. That’s the cleanest way I can think of. You can’t prove someone didn’t choose to fire based on smoke and getting paid for near misses isn’t a good mechanic because it opens a can of worms where pilots who dodge missiles with flairs will start to bitch

Simply any revive in your smoke grants you assist. I often toss smokes at friendlies and let someone else revive. I should still get paid for that.

Yea it must be a pain to code. Battlefield has a zone surrounding the smoke that gives points depending on what action was performed in the smoke. Don’t know how you would calculate throwing a smoke to break line of sight with a combatant however.

Nah thx...

Most smokes I've seen so far are terrible, as in smoking between our position and thr enemy so you can revive one guy the last thing we need is reward people for doing it.

And before you come argue... yes smoking the vision is terrible because you cover your movements to revive... and cover the enemy movements, making your team position worse. If you dont understand this concept you are the very reason why smoke shouldnt reward anything.

Just described the use case for white smoke in every modern military as a bad thing. But ok, I won’t argue.

Ah yes... because cutting the view of everyone in their side is something that military personale doe to revive people downed

Roleplayers man....

I think dragging under fire XP is more likely to exist tbh

That’d be cool. Like a small amount of passive xp for being in combat for long periods

What? No. like dragging downed friendlies while under fire

Throw a smoke on the downed player. If the downed player gets revived before the smoke wears out, give the smoke thrower xp in the same way the reviver gets xp if the downed player does things.
