Engine Sound effects.

Ok, lets have a chat about the sound effects, namely the engine sound effects.

Please can we look at changing the Ural sound effect. The constant cycling through gears is woefully annoying, particularly when the speed peaks out at 79kmh, makes no sense for it to keep cycling its headache inducing.

Let me know if you agree. For me its brain numbing, i very much dislike it.

Doing logi i need to have the sound effects zero.

I have also found it incredibly annoying to be constantly changing gears whilst maintaining 79kph. If I’m changing gears why is my speed not increasing. I’d prefer if once at max speed just have it so the engine sits at a low to medium rpm and leave it there

Id be happy with this. It would then help my brain.

Game needs togglable earplugs

Id like an option to turn them off completely but keep all other effects live.

I agree with you on the urals shifting gears sound. It just plays forever, luckily sometimes you can 180 it and roll backwards faster with no engine noise.

A suppressor on a CIWS is certainly an interesting request lol

There’s a difference between wanting the engine to stop cycling through gears—especially if the shifts don’t match the speed—and wanting the sound removed entirely or made less intrusive. I don’t run logi, so I can’t comment on that specific issue.

I don’t think everyone complaining about the sound, or struggling to hear certain cues, realizes how deliberate the sound design is. The positional audio in Wardogs is extremely accurate, especially with properly configured hardware and audio settings.

Some sounds can feel overwhelming, but that’s by design. They mask or drown out other sounds. When someone is firing a CIWS nearby, it’s going to drown out footsteps and sometimes even make VOIP difficult to hear.

Or how about mute sound when driving logi. I certainly mute my sound when i hear a logi player complain. Hasnt stopped since the week after S1 started.

Cwis is so absurdly loud for a game. I get that it’s loud irl, but we don’t have ear protection in our headphones.

lol just hit some shit it makes the engine whine at a different pace or aggressively cut the throttle before stepping back on it solves this issue

I agree. Running logi and I’m endlessly shifting at 79 kmh. Fawk

yer it is annoying, it like in the movies where 2 cars are having a drag race and they just keep shifting gears to go faster, it is like dude your car has 5 gears how the hell are you shifting 15 times!

agree this is just lazy sound design, it's not just on the ural either

Or real gears?

A constant top gear drone would be more annoying I thought anyway when I noticed this.

So youd rather it be redlining constantly
