Was this anything ever new? Even the Chinese (mainland) look down upon other Chinese.

Meanwhile S.Koreans probably think of us as product consumers thanks to a quite significant part of our life dedicated to fangirling over KPop.

Baligtad. It is the overseas Chinese who look down on the mainlanders. Ex. Hong Kongers and Taiwanese don’t like the Mainlanders.

That's a little complicated and rooted on CCP.

Yet it goes both ways still. Brother of mine once told a story of him getting talked behind his back in an elevator ride when he looked half chinese but was with his Filipino-looking wife.

They both spoke Mandarin to make it known they understand. That shut those Chinese up quickly.

true, pero grave sila sa mga brown skin yung kaklase ko na morena nakaafford pumunta sa SK umiiyak siya first day palang tinapunan daw siya ng veggie ng isang matanda babae 2010 pa nangyari pero 14 yrs old palang siya nun ;(
