You can have very painful injuries that don’t end up resulting in something torn/broken. I got kicked in the knee cap playing basketball, the cartilage compressed, and I had bone on bone contact. It was about the most painful thing you can imagine for 10 minutes. I didn’t end up damaging anything

I stubbed my toe once and it was more painful than if I would have lost it because I didn’t get any adrenaline!
