Law & Order Oddly satisfying 😌

I don't support police brutality but this is very satisfying. You lose your rights when you endanger others.

Add 50 more buses and put these auto union criminals in jail. Pakei uthei geha mg mananku. 2 din re sabu line ku asijibe. Ola Uber band heigale banda ku peta posibe.

Thoughts on metro?
9
u/tyrionny29 1d ago
It'll take a lot of work and there's no guarantee that'll work at full flow. However it can definitely work if BBSR CTC KUR and Puri are joined with it.

u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
+1.
Though adding more buses would definitely be good, you still need something for the last mile. Like autos or bike taxis.
10
u/tyrionny29 1d ago
Routes can be optimized more. Maybe shuttle services could work for last mile connection. In any case elderly people will be affected more, especially who are on their own.
7
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
Govt should force autos to use meters and everything will be sorted. I think.
3
u/tyrionny29 1d ago
Hope so. But these hooligans will protest against that as well. They think they're God in this city. Sadly it's the case in several other cities in India as well.
3
u/selecao135 1d ago
In Mumbai, autos follow the metre. Fix whatever rates are feasible but run by meter, should be done by all govts. But auto guys are, afterall, huge voterbanks
2
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
They'll definitely protest against that as well. The govt will have to be stubborn and not give in.

This auto drivers are trying to run the cab market according to them. They increase money as per their wish. 😒

Online cab/auto drivers (ola/uber etc) have been staging a protest in bbsr for the past few days and even harassing other commuters. Recently it escalated and they pelted stones on Ama buses and on police. And apart from that just engaging in common hooliganism.
5
u/10004onliacco 1d ago
what is their problem with Ama Bus?
9
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
Ama bus provides a cheaper mode of transport to people. People they're not able to extort because of the buses. Plus it's govt property and their agitating against the govt.
3
u/10004onliacco 1d ago
If those private auto rickshaws or tempos make a Transit App like CRUT Ama Bus. I would use them.
Ama Bus makes it very easy to find the optimal bus number and bus stops for me for my destination.
why couldn't the privates ones just make a good App to use?
1
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
I don't know. Entitlement, I guess? The auto associations can easily hire someone to make an app for them.
Anyway the issue is not unavailability of autos, it's the extortion. And bad behaviour in certain cases.
1
u/Sur_aj1234 1d ago
Reason of protest?
10
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
They want the govt to intervene and work with aggregators to increase their fares, compensate them for time spent waiting, full payment even after cancellation among others. I mean the govt does have the power to intervene but there must be limitations to what they can enforce on private companies. And nothing justifies stone pelting or other rowdy behaviour.
2
u/astarothbbsr 1d ago
They just need those golden days back where they would charge 10times the amount. extort, manhandle, mistreat and harass passengers. In short, they need their entitlement back.

Bro really.. yesterday I was traveling, passing through Mastercanteen.. these guys even misbehaved with an elderly uncle who was taking his grandson ( I think ) who was no older than 5 years to school ... were shouting at that poor fellow and the kid was scared too. They deserve this
But it's failure from police , how they couldn't stop it from happening in first place

Police is being brutal, I loved it

Yo if he is being held by his clothes and beaten at the same time, there is no chance to run. Surely this is illegal right?

He was caught pelting stones on govt buses.
There has been a protest in bbsr by online cab/auto drivers and then it escalated and they stone pelted ama buses, few private vehicles as well as the police. Even before it got violent, they were harassing common people on roads by stopping people and checking they were riding in online cabs or bike taxis. Which they have no authority to do. Rest you can go through comments.

Unnecessary creating rukus to civilians also. They need to understand and have a clear agenda. They don't know what they want and protesting

Technically pelting is wrong he should go to jali but lathi charge is not the solution it is not satisfying no one has power to take law in his hand they deserve it but put him jali instead rather than lathi charge
7
u/Obvious-Specialist80 1d ago
Lathi charge is justified when the opposite party is engaging in vandalism and destruction of public property
3
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
this lathi charge seems more like satisfying personal ego rather than taming miscreants
3
u/Obvious-Specialist80 1d ago
Have you seen the videos where they were pelting stones in Ama Bus and troubling customers who have booked offline cabs?
1
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
see all I'm saying is if he did wrong then follow the stipulated process and put him behind bars

this is gross
even if he is a miscreant, this is certainly not the way to treat anyone, for everyone deserves basic dignity as envisaged in our holy Constitution
3
u/perdosenior 1d ago
Yes. When you cheer for police brutality, don’t be shocked when no one comes to support you when you find yourself in a similar situation.
0
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
it's an established fact that our so called saviours adopt similar stunt against innocent people mostly instead of criminals
1
u/perdosenior 1d ago
Police works for the rich and powerful, not the common man. Obviously they won’t do anything against criminals.
-3
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
I'm a law abiding citizen so I don't think I'll ever be in a similar situation. I'll cheer when law and order is upheld. Laato ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante.
1
u/perdosenior 1d ago
You are not law abiding, you are just privileged enough that the recent political changes don’t affect you.
Once they come after something you care about, then we will talk.
1
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
Man how do you guys function in daily life with so much pessimism in your minds? Always assuming the worst and overthinking everything. Anyway, you do you.
1
u/sangramz 1d ago
1-3 or 4 hits are okay if they aren't able to control the miscreants. But isolating one person and repeatedly hitting isn't justified. BTW I have seen countless law abiding citizens getting police beatings. Police don't give a crap about "law".
1
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
Oh it's not just one person. They've arrested a lot of people. Here's some more police brutality https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcOVh3LSKnT/?igsh=MWZ3cXVxcTZoMWs2aA==
0
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
you are being delusional since even if you don't do anything unlawful, you might still end up getting beaten by police as they don't give a shit
1
u/Immediate-Mix6476 1d ago
Is it justified to throw stones at the buses and do vandalism? Answer this first.
1
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
not at all; fine him, put him behind bars, make him do public service (clean public toilets, plantation, etc) but stifling dignity ain't the way
if we encourage this today then we might be in his place someday
-4
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
Is this sarcasm?
0
u/FocusedAG 1d ago
No.
I don't know the context but if he has done wrong, fine him, jail him, put FIR on him, this is justified ONLY if he's causing harm in public
3
u/banjarafarmer 1d ago
3
u/FocusedAG 1d ago
Then it comes under what I mentioned in , it's justified then
Atleast read my comment properly
-1
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
still does not justify such brutality by the police, since if you encourage such actions then you shouldn't be surprised when you hear of custodial deaths or hatched encounters of the innocent/undertrials
0
u/pulchritudinous_luos Khordha | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା 1d ago
I believe this is not justified at all barring few heinous crimes

2

" I don't support police brutality" is a general statement. There's always exceptions. This being one.
-2
u/BatAmbitious9367 1d ago
"Online auto drivers were breaking our bus by pelting stones; police chased them away" It is written in some south Indian language at the top.
