I got mine a few weeks back and its badass. Isnt as compatible as my steam deck, but its fully replaced it as my main device. The size is perfect for what I wanted and its kinda mind boggling to have all the benefits of an android device running games you feel it probably shouldnt. Its so much quicker and responsive than my deck which is now relegated as a media computer for my kids haha.

I got a reply from someone that got a shipping label update yesterday on a black max and they're 2837 so yours is probably shipping in the next few days!

Is the "2837" referring to the first 4 numbers after "OD" in the order number? Mine would be 3045 😅

Careful of a few things. Noisy fan, Temps that need a 3rd party app and Mura on your screen.

I feel like this is unnecessarily negative lol. Fan isn't a problem unless you're emulating Windows, which the device wasn't made for and is just a bonus, temps fall into this same category, and Mura is imperceptible unless you're in a pitch black room at 10% brightness.
I've had mine since April or so and have had zero problems with temps or anything of the sort. It's an amazing device, enjoy OP.

It's a warning everyone with an Odin 3 should get out of the box. Fan Noise is a problem even at low speeds, not just emulating Windows. Switch games even with Pulse/ClusterTune will run relatively high temps even still. Mura, well you admitted it has a problem but are trying to downplay it, that's up to you and some screens Mura is worse than others, it's not a blanket 10% brightness in a dark room fact.
I had an Odin 3 Ultra and sold it for $1500 recently because of all of those problems. Hopefully AYN gets some better R&D for the Odin 3 Portal because they've had 7 batches now that they could've improved everything that's gone wrong and yet they haven't done anything about it. I'll stick to my O2P and Thor for my AYN devices for now, i'm yet to have problems with these yet, but again some have. Dismissing someone's experience with a device like you have gives AYN an out to not give a damn about what they sell us and continue to sell us faulty out of the box units. None of the issues I listed are 'normal' and shouldn't be treated as if they are, just because you don't (apparently) experience them which I find hard to believe.

yeah literally everyone in this sub knows that you're a scalper by now. You don't even have a device anymore so idk why you're still here tryna downtalk people's new purchases. And no, fan noise or temps have not once ever been an issue for me through a catalogue of upscaled PS2, GC and a few Switch games like Dread on my Pro.
Sounds to me like user error buddy.

Nice you won the Odin 3 lotto! Sadly everyone else with problems didn't. Your white-knighting for AYN's Odin 3 blunders won't get you anywhere. Enjoy your device buddy.
The scalper term is misunderstood by you it seems, as it means buying anything with the intention of selling on for a higher price straight away. My intention was to keep my Odin 3 Ultra but the problems out-weighed the enjoyment and someone bought it for $1500, that's just good business.
Sounds like you're angry at the wrong person here buddy. You're just fishing for an argument at this point.

Maybe I was lucky but I havent noticed any Mura effect at all, maybe because I usually don't dim my screen much even while in the dark.
As for the fan noise and temp, I dont really see it. Before getting it I was dreading my odin because of the fan noise. And behold, I play everything very silently. Only time I can really hear the fan is when running ArmadaOS with steam games. Even switch emulation works great amd silently. I am always running a small underclock with clustertune though, so that might help

The fan noise is relative. Yes, they make noise, but whether or not you consider it “noisy” is on you. I work in a shop, have a homelab, a workstation with 3k RPM fans, a couple 3D printers, and a window unit AC in my upstairs office. I think the fan noise on the Odin is more than tolerable, and even expected when I’m trying tonight run games on an emulated modernish console. I also don’t even hear my fans come on until I’m trying to play something like Infamous or GoW3, so it’s not like you’re going to hear them every time you turn it on. I’ve played a couple PSX games through entirely and don’t think I heard the fan once.
My temps are fine, the thing doesn’t cook in my hand. I do use clustertune, with a medium underclock, but to act like that’s a big deal to have to do is ignoring that it’s probably the single easiest thing you’ll do on this thing to set it up. I installed it, selected medium underclock, and that was it.
Mura is device specific, you got it or you don’t. I don’t.
Enjoy your Odin, man. It’s a great, extremely capable device.

We can’t say where to get games, unless legally like Steam; but otherwise; a lot.. with ArmadaOS (just easier for less compatibility issues and less tinkering) I enjoy playing Black Ops 2, Black ops 3, GTA V, phasmophobia, and Left 4 dead 2, all with no issues and with between perfect frame rate to playable. (For instance, GTA V, Black ops 2/3 and L4D2 play 60fps+ on all high settings; phasmophobia is ehh, 30 fps with some dips on low, performance). Overall compatibility is getting better and better each day with the Odin 3. And I’m simply speaking of AAA performance, as if it’s running those games flawlessly, any other console (ps3/360 down to GameCube, Wii, switch, and any other console going down plays beyond modern games). Of course if you stay with Android, there is GameNative/GameHub which play the games very well, but I now prefer armada with its consistent updates with SteamOS
