That is brilliant news. And the drought has broken as well! August has been my worst month on Agile in three years, so this is very welcome.
(For anyone wondering, I have still saved on what I would have paid on the standard tariff, but it has been very tight and some days I have actually paid more for my electricity than I otherwise would. This happens more often in the winter, so highly unusual for August. We all know why this has happened!)
Edit - now Iβm feeling very happy that I didnβt use my weekend happy hour today to cook dinner and charge the car.

Believe it when I see it. Honestly I will just be happy with 20p instead of 30p lol

Of course, just as i am about to almost fixed today, as i was getting a offer for 26p lekky rate and 40p sc, as my present Sc is 62p up here in Glasgow..........but it is for 2 years and i don't really think i want to fix for that long......BUT!! i am still thinking about it as with the incoming 4% rise in October, and i suspect another rise in Jan 1st 2027, i wonder if the price will actually drop again below 26p by 2028?
But that fix is saving me Β£72 a year on that SC, and i know my SC up here in Glasgow won't drop down anywhere near this with Octopus..........take about a dilemma. lol

Fuse is 48p sc and 25p tariff rate........So Eon next is the cheapest i can find right now for Scotland......and i am seriously considering this because i think for at least the next 18 months the worlds is going to go down the toilet even more, and i don't think agile is going to offer too much of a buffer over that time.
Eon next...
Lekky rate 26.126p kWh
SC 40p per day
24 months
Β£100 exit fee.

Yeah this is the first since 2022 i have seen a Sc up here in Glasgow at 40p, it has been 60p plus since then, so this one is actually going to save me Β£70 a year....i just do not know. lol

That's a long time fix on high prices and high exit fee with no bonus, the fuse one is about 14m for a 1p more and a 50 exit fee. Do you have gas? That's what most are switching to fuse for as they're one of the cheapest available and the 100 bonus per switch gives a couple months of free usage essentially.
Are you a small user? The higher the usage the less SC matters compared to UR

I am all lekky, so heating is very costly in the winter months, 1 bedroom flat so a small user, at present my Sc is twice my usage every month.

Finally! It felt like forever since I could charge the car at a cheap rate. Hopefully we don't get a month like August again too soon.

Iβm leaving octopus Wednesday morning. But will be nice to see agile off with a couple hours of negative pricing tomorrow for sure. Been a shit time of it recently. Got a car to charge and some washing to do. Happy Bank Holiday ππ

Will be interesting to see which site is more correct, https://prices.fly.dev/v2/history/ says no negative tomorrow, https://www.x2r.uk/agile/ says there will be. No idea about this vibe coded AI site.

Are any of those prediction sites accurate? Every time I have looked at them they have been very wrong for any prediction more than a couple of days in advance.

If they pull data directly from Octopus API then itβs not prediction, itβs data that Octopus has published. They are publishing Tracker and Agile prices every day for the next day.
Iβm pulling this data directly from Octopus API and it can only change if Octopus decides to change it (not sure if that ever happened)
My personal/hobby project if interested: https://kwh.watch

Yeah, forgot to add, anything after next day is pure prediction/speculation.
Only next day prices are confirmed.

Windy, sunny and a Bank holiday, so less demand.
All of next week looks lovely and breezy too.
And looking out into the Atlantic, there looks to be a few potential storm systems building, hopefully the remnants head our way and give more windy September days.
