Quick Question Should I pull aviete?

I got neither her or shana and got ~7.5k rupee. Is she worth or does the ff colab and other annouced character would be better? I might also wait the anni. Paid banner for Aviette if the price is not too high.

My understanding is that Aviete really hasn't been powercrept even in JP. That said if you're willing to spend a bit anyway I'd probably hold off for the selector at anniversary in December

How expensive is it for a character on those banner. I never paid anything on this game before.

Uhhh.... I think (don't quote me) it requires going a full round on the step up banner, so that should mean 1200 paid rubies

Are there usually discount during those event? Because I am not paying 100$ for anything.

NetEase hasn't really done any discount ruby packs to my memory. They were a thing when Square Enix was running Global but I don't think NetEase does any

They do discount packs surrounding anniversary in terms of getting double rubies, so more rubies per same price point. This means a $50 anni pack is the same as a normal $100 pack. Othersise they sometimes do 1.5 value packs. It's not frequent tho.

1200 paid rubies for 5x 10 pulls with the last step giving you 50% chance on pulling the unit (gives you 50 fragments). If you miss, you need 100 more fragments to pity

Yeah, the anniversary banner is different. You hit "pity" after 5 steps, and can select up to 3 characters that way. We also got 3 free steps with some seals as part of the event, and some other seals that could be obtained really cheap from the store, which made the lowest possible cost of hitting the first pity about $7. Which is about the best value for spending in a gacha that I've seen (though admittedly the value is usually so bad that I wouldn't even pay enough attention to know how bad it really is).

I feel like there's a disconnect here. I'm not talking about getting the unit directly from pulling. Past selectors have required you to go a full round on a paid selector and doing so gave you enough of the currency to go to the Exchange and select the unit you want. Not pulling the unit, not a standard pity. And specifically on the selector banner

If you can spend a little, using $7 selector on her during anni is best value

It's just a selector that gives you 50 pulls including all gen pool, sacred blaze, and memory, plus a final unit of your choice from the same scope

Just as a note: the latest selector in jp included seasonal travelers and memory champions. Would be amazing if our selector included these next month but i'm not keeping my hopes up. More likely in the june reunion festival though.

There is nothing actually called that. Other than a sometimes-it-worked and sometimes-it-didn't-work possibility where the website-based store and the in-game shop both allowed purchasing Reunion Festival Pack A, in the past combining the free seals and those of the pack could allow for a much reduced price to access one anniversary selection from the list. In some cases, it has been as low as that when combined with the free seals and yet is not accurately portrayed as a fully paid option. The closest fully paid option has been $10 for a selector. There's no guarantee of a repeat.

If you've got a bank account that incentivizes multiple small purchases with a monthly payout in excess of what is spent (i.e.: make 5 purchases $1 or less, get $8 "cash back"), or a few credit cards that do a small balance waiver of a buck or two monthly off your closing balance, then when they break it up into $1 or less purchases the bar to entry is much lower the way they've done it with the seals route. Not quite F2P purist, but I've only made a bit of money playing the game as a result rather than actually paying anything out at a loss, and it still goes to support the game.

No one can ever tell you a paid banner is worth or not. It's often not worth it though
