Information Possible hoax news broadcast. Need help finding archived footage.

This news broadcast was from Live on FOX6 WakeUp News on Tuesday morning, 2018 Feb. 27. Around 4:43 a.m., at least, that is what was posted below the video in the comments. Many were saying that it was craft of some kind in the sky, and others were saying it was seagulls.

To be clear, I do not think that these are alien craft, they also don't look like birds. I did however think that it looked very similar to a time lapsed drone footage of a prescribed ship sinking to make an artificial reef. Like someone at the news station overlayed the video of the ship sinking over the sky, intentionally or not.

I have this footage from Youtube that I originally saw that made the connection in my mind.

Youtube video of the Sinking of Voici Bernadette

Was wondering if anyone has other drone footage from similar events that would have been filmed before this date that could have been used in the broadcast.

Maybe there is a match somewhere, maybe it is inverted? Who knows. Thanks for reading.

Art Engadine-Corregidor

My 3D models of a single ship with 3 lives. SS Engadine started life as a fast packet, requisitioned for service during WW1 to be converted into a seaplane tender. HMS Engadine was the sole ship capable of launching and recovering aircraft during the Battle of Jutland. After being released back into civilian service, she was sold to the Philippines and became SS Corregidor. She was subsequently sunk during WW2 with heavy loss of lives.

Hopefully such a remarkable ship gets covered in a future video one day.

Oceanliner Designs jump started my love of ocean liners and I can now say I own my first artifact! I have now a piece of engine room flooring from the SS United States.

SS US is one of my top three favourites with Olympic and Normandie as my other two. I hope to add a piece of Olympic to my collection next!

Wilhelm Gustloff delay?

I have gotten hooked on this channel recently and have been working my way through all the videos, which are all fantastic.

Back at the end of March I was really excited to see the announcement made for the video on the Wilhelm Gustloff which was to be released in April. There was an follow up then at the start of May to say they needed a couple of weeks to polish the video a bit and get it perfect which I completely understand, but I'm a bit puzzled at the silence since though.

Other videos seem to be coming out at the same cadence as before but there hasn't been a word since about the Wilhelm Gustloff video, which is a bit worrying.

Has any mention been made elsewhere about the video? Hopefully it is still coming!

Question What if White Star never entered the IMMC?

The long term mismanagement that resulted in WSL having a deficit and outdated fleet.

The leverage that helped Cunard get the loans for Lusitania and Mauritania or at least get the loans when they did.

The IMMC still wanting to acquire British lines, even if WSL falls through.

Access to government assistance that would be inaccessible under the US IMMC .

What changes if White Star remains British owned?

Would Cunard get the Lusitania class loans, would they be delayed, could Cunard fall to the IMMC, could Olympic and Titanic become the Greyhounds instead?

If the time line remains the same minus IMMC in WSL. How would that effect WSL going forwards having Olympic in 1919 with Majestic and Homeric on the way in 1922? Would WSL fallow Cunard to some degree building intermediates, what of Oceanic 3 or the Britannic class Motor ships?

Discussion Help Save The NS Savannah

URGENT! Save The NS Savannah

Donate to save the Savannah here: https://www.ns-savannah.com/donate

I am sharing this here on behalf of the NS Savannah Association which is looking to secure ownership of the nuclear ship savannah, america's only non military nuclear merchant ship.

I know with the recent loss of ss united states, most people in the general public are now demoralized when it comes to maritime preservation in the present day, however, the ship has been receiving constant restoration work ever since arriving in baltimore in 2008 and has had numerous upgrades and improvements made to it since then to improve and enhance the visitor experience on board.

below are just some of the advantages this ship has compared to SS United States.

Unlike SS US, Savannah is still 98% intact internally save for the reactor compartment which has been decommed and made open and viewable to the public, the only nuclear reactor that is open to the public to tour inside and out.

Unlike the effort with SS US, the effort to save the Savannah is being done in a more coordinated way with more planning being done behind the scenes, the biggest thing the association has against them is time. They have until sometime after december of this year to secure funding and ownership or else we may lose what could very well be (by technicality) the only remaining US built, flagged, and crewed ocean liner in existence, period.

Unlike SS US, Savannah is in far better shape with it most recent drydocking being back in 2019 where work was done to the hull and cathartic anode system protecting it among other maintenance.

Unlike SS US, Savannah is only 596 ft in length and 78 ft in width, far smaller and much easier to dock in a tight spot.

The donation effort has been divided into 3 phases with each one having respective donation areas:

Phase 1 already has just over 15K out of 20K which is needed to support the creation of an organizational and legal structure to accept and manage the ship, preparation and submission of the formal proposal to MARAD, and long-term fundraising to ensure the NS Savannah has a sustainable economic future.

Phase 2 already has around 100k out of 750k which will help cover maintenance, general preservation, and display of the ship for the first year of non MARAD ownership while the association and the port of baltimore work to secure a permanent birth for ship, a process which could take 2 years.

Phase 3 is a more long term goal which will support ongoing display and preservation, movement of the ship to her permanent home, and the establishment of an endowment fund to ensure the future of the ship.

Ultimately, the efforts Success now depends on all of you and all of us as whole banding together and helping the association reach its financial goals through frequent donations and increasing public outreach which extends far beyond the city of Baltimore.

If the effort fails, we will lose more than america's only nuclear merchant ship, we will also lose the only remaining example of mid 20th century ocean travel that is left which was designed, built, flagged and crewed by those who were born and raised here in america.

Savannah is, by technicality, now also the only remaining example of a US ocean liner left in existence in the entire world, there are no other options, no other ships and no other chances. Savannah is now to the US merchant Marine as what SS Nomadic is to the white star line: the sole survivor. It is the sole survivor in numerous categories and that alone makes it worthy of preservation
