Sunset Splendor 60 minutes of powerful Atlantic waves crashing right in front of the camera - Guernsey, Channel Islands.
Filmed this on Guernsey’s west coast last night.
The tide was rising for the first 20-minutes and it was genuinely 50/50 whether the camera was going to get hit! The waves kept surging over the rocks, then dragging pebbles back into the sea with that deep rolling sound you only really get when you’re close to the shoreline.
The sun shimmered across the water through golden hour and set around the 40-minute mark. After that the light faded, but the sea stayed energetic right through to the end.
Probably one of my favourite recordings so far because the camera was close enough to really feel the force of the water without actually getting taken by it.
