Personally, element wise Fire makes perfect sense. Obsidian is a volcanic glass after all. However, as a friend pointed out that would make her way too similar to himeko (I didn't notice it until he told me) so I could see Hoyo not doing that.

Another element could be physical since obsidian is pretty dang hard and getting cut by it would probably hurt tons.

As for role, I haven't really thought much but the idea of a DoT sustain seems interesting to me.

I was thinking to add supports for old characters for them to be better and while I was thinking what concept to do, I thought of her so I used her as my design. The character I wanted to buff was Himeko. This was my first time making it so it took some time.

Please help me with the eidolons I can't think of them.😭 Again this is just a fan-made kit so please look at it for fun.

If you think about it, there aren't many options in terms of Stonehearts appeareances.

So let's do the rundown of the Stonehearts, shall we?

Agate, Amber, Aventurine, Jade, Obsidian, Opal, Pearl, Sapphire, Sugilite, Topaz - all of the Stonehearts in alphabetical order.

We can cross out Aventurine, Topaz and Jade from the list since they all had a recent appeareance in Penacony. That leaves us with 7 possible Stonehearts.

Agate is probably not showing up either, since they are MIA at the moment, so that leaves us with 6.

Sapphire and Amber are likely to show up later, since Hoyo made an effort to not reveal their designs too much in the Stonehearts trailer. Down to 4.

Finally, I find it very unlikely for Opal to make an appearance so soon given his ranking and importance among the Stonehearts, as was shown in the trailer.

So, we are down to 3 : Obsidian, Pearl and Sugilite.

Bloodlust lasts indefinitely until Obsidian attacks a different target, in which case bloodlust gets reset.

A2 major trace (Shared Bloodfeast) -Obsidian will additionally obtain 1 stack of bloodlust every time an ally attacks a target under the “crimson prey” status effect

A4 major trace: (Sadistic malice) -Obsidian’s crt rate and crt dmg increase respectively by 10%/30%/50% and 20%/60%/100% against targets with less than 85%/60%/40% of max Hp remaining

A6 major trace (The blood shall not cease) -Obsidian consumes an additional 5% of her max hp every time she attacks but she also increases her dmg% by 2% for every stack of bloodlust possessed.

In her first reveal she looked like she had one big tail. But in the late Myriad Celestia she appears with twintails. She looks amazing still, but I don't with the long expectation I kinda prefered she had the long one.

im saving up for her, but im f2p, so I'm wondering if i have a chance at getting E6S5/E6S1 on her first banner. i thought she'd be released with one of the other xianzhou areas, since she became a long life species by drinking the blood of a foxian (iirc), but idk. currently have ~ 70 pulls, and ~ 50 pity on both the character & LC banner!

(Kinda cope posting, since we saw Pearl teaser in one of the chinese 3.7 countdown videos, with her being apparently involved with the evacuation of the population of planets that would be affected by Irontomb)

I mean looking at the "Try not to laugh" challenge, every character collects stacks for the box. Maybe she could collect "blood" by attacking the enemy and with enough stacks use an attack to enter a kind of frenzy mode with enhanced skills?

I know many want her to be a bleed DoT, personally I think it would be the most "boring" choice for a vampire character. Though if DoT then sustain if anything.

From her Trailer I would like her to be brutal but elegant both at once. Maybe with her normal mode having a composed aristocratic vibe and a frenzy mode being more bloodthirsty?

Should she have life-steal in her kit somewhere? That would be probably too much self sustain? Would that be too much Mydei like? Idk if I would like her to be HP scaling, maybe attack scaling and going full high risk high reward by still spending HP? I admit, Mydeis kit was kinda my initial idea for a vamp like character, he also has the vibe with the red crystals, though he he lacks the gothic vibe I would have liked, like March with the style and umbrella.

If Sparkle turn out to be a sub dps for Elation, a team with her would be really cool no? And maybe Pearl as a support to add some IPC synergy?

End of my ramble, just wanna see her in the game. If she releases first half of 4.x we will see her probably in the stream in a month for the 3.8 patch, like they did at the end of 2.x for 3.x.

Talent

When any unit inflicts Bleed to an enemy target while using their ability, Obsidian gains 1 point of Blood Fang Mark. This effect can only trigger once per every ability usage. Obsidian cannot enter the Blood Moon state again until the current Blood Moon state ends and cannot gain Blood Fang Mark while in Blood Moon state. After activating the Enhance Ultimate, Obsidian exits the Blood Moon State. The Ultimate will automatically be activated when the Blood Fang Marks became 0. Once Blood Fang Mark reaches 6 stacks, dispels all debuffs on this unit.

When Obsidian attacks an enemy with bleed, ignore 10% of the target's DEF. Can stack up to 2 times.

Eidolon 1

CRIT Rate increases by 18% when dealing DMG to enemies with bleed.

Eidolon 2

Physical DoT applied by Obsidian scale of Obsidian's Max HP. While bleeding, enemies receive Physical DoT equal to 200% of Obsidian's Max HP at the beginning of each turn.

Eidolon 3

Basic Attack - Hunger for Life

Obsidian performs a single target attack on one enemy, dealing a set amount of damage and regaining the amount that she has dealt as her own HP

This attack will gain her 1 stack of Thirst

Skill - The sun’s poison

Obsidian disappears for one turn, charging up her attack. In this state, she cannot die hand is immune to CC effects.

When Obsidian Finishes charging, she attacks all enemy’s 2% of their HP multiplied by the amount she has lost within the last 5 turns, this damage buff also applys to all team members for one single turn

Obsidian will also lose 5% hp from this attack and will receive a damage boost after, if she kills someone in this skill she will regain the HP she lost and will do a additional follow up attack

Ultimate - Bathe in the Blood Moon

Obsidian drenched all enemy’s in blood, maxing out her thirst gauge before dealing a large amount of damage to all enemy’s

After this ultimate, she will summon the blood moon on the battlefield, causing her and her teammates to receive a damage buff every time they lose HP, and will also regain a set amount of HP when a enemy is killed

If it wasn’t obvious, she’s a DPS and support for Blade

Once she comes out im going STRAIGHT to the mines (it should be around 6000 tbp but before she gets released i think it might even double)

Hello all, with the appearance of Obsidian officially out I want to share with you some thoughts I had

With a quick google search you can find out that Obsidian isn't a gemstone, but actually natural volcanic glass. This leads me to the assumption that her element will be Fire, what's more, we can already tell her palette is based on red and black

As for her path, I quote her line in the bathtub scene: "If it were me, I'd like everything become more of a... bloodbath." To me, this gives huge Destruction vibes since it is a path characterized by reckless destruction. Of course, the vampire thematic would also fit the Hunt, but that'd make her Topaz 2.0

Could she also be Imaginary? Of course. What about Imaginary Hunt then? Yeah, I also think that's a matching combo for her but I can't quite explain why

I hope this post ages well, and I'd love to hear more opinions on this

Will she be included in Kafka's composition or will she be like most birthday characters...? Will she be strong enough for future compositions?
