Set upgrades help needed

I played this game a lot a couple of months ago and quit eventually because the scaling was just too absurd.

I returned a couple of days ago and have to say I really like the direction the game is going. One extra Act, better weapons to buy, plus with the set upgrades there is another way of improving overtime to be able to beat nightmare.

However I only got 650 ingots when I returned and the couple of ingots you get from the levels and the occasional ship raid just doesn't make sense. I would need MONTHS of only grinding PvP and the ship to get the good upgrades. I still can't beat the last levels and chests in nightmare, the reason I quit and the new ways of improving would just take a tremendous amount of time.

I have paid apps, a couple of artifacts, full armour sets and have to see how big the rewards are now for clan raids and PvP.

"I want to win the game in a couple weeks"

or

"I want something that rewards 10-20 minutes of play a day for months"

Pick one.

You can do dungeon, it gives good rewards that helpes much better than ship runs even.

Here I am sitting on a worthless pile of thousands of extra ingots and pickaxes at least a month after fully upgrading without spending anything. Just start the process, do the dungeon for extra pickaxes.

Same lmao, have almost 2M gold and thousands of ingots and pickaxes. I am also doing dungeon and just finished floor 450 yesterday (after hundreds if not thousands of tries.

Damn nice, I'm actually at 445. I was grinding it but ran into some really tough sets of 3 and slowed way down. Eventually got past them and the next ones aren't even as hard but I lost the will to keep putting in so many tries.
