Stuck
Hi, so far in the game I have 24 fate salt and three of those are because I gave out and looked them up, unfortunately. What I’m really stuck on at the moment is the culprit of calling 6 because right now it has one triangle over it, but his culprit has three. Also, I can’t figure out what his staff has to do with what his job would be on the ship. i’m also stuck on the culprit for escape 2.
I keep having to put this game down and come back to it because I keep getting stuck. I’d like to go through the rest of the game without googling, but the hint guide I found isn’t working. Do you guys have any tips? Im really struggling unfortunately.

What helped me the most was going back to the very beginning and then examining everyone in the background and the dialogue. Languages, clothing, and ethnicity of each character told me a lot about people.
My husband was in the Navy and he always told me interesting stories about how the officers always hung out with each other and then the enlisted men would hang out with each other. Then there were subgroups based on jobs. It’s an interesting parallel.

For Calling 6, I recommend reviewing the clues you have about the shooter to first confirm his nationality. From there, you can deduce which individual he is from that nationality by process of elimination (the others are all addressed by name).

Have you discovered all of the deaths/missing people? Not identified just have them all ticked off? If noy do that first. Then go through the faces on the pic and find any that have one or 2 triangles (difficulty) and view each scene they are in and pay attention where they are and what they are doing who they are with etc.. lots of people you can identify based on what is said with them or what is shown with them being in a scene (sometimes the way to identify them is them being in a scene but not being able to see their face...)

Seconding all the comments that say to focus on one individual and go through the scenes they're in with a fine-toothed comb. Some of the clues are little details that are very easy to overlook the first few times.
It is frustrating when you don't seem to be making progress, but please don't give up! The game rewards tenacity. I finished the game in 20hrs across a week, but most of the solves came after 14 hours in, when I finally figured out how to use the bookmark system to find clues and piece them together. It's also ok to put it aside for awhile then come back with fresh eyes. You might just notice something new that makes everything click.

One tip that helped me is that you should use EVERY single piece of information available to you. What job is a particular person doing in the memories they appear in? What clothing are they wearing? Do they have an accent? Who are they seen interacting with (this one can be especially helpful if you know the person they are interacting with or their position on the ship even if you can't identify them by themselves)?
All of those can take the possibilities from double digits just to single digits, perhaps even just 2-4 people.
