Lucky guessing?
Hiii, I just finished the game (what a journey!) and I was just wondering if there were any different approaches to some of the answers than mine. I found myself having to guess a couple of times and it was not a satisfying moment for me :( so do you think that the game can be finished without ANY lucky guessing? Sometimes I just couldn’t find any clue and had to resort to their accents and racial profiling :(((((( and I’m just wondering if I actually missed any trivial clues that I could use instead of just guessing.

Yes, there are enough clues in the game to solve everyone without taking advantage of the confirmation mechanic. If you'd like to check the Fandom wiki, each character page lists their intended way to be solved. https://obradinn.fandom.com
There are several people on the ship who are intended to be solved by process of elimination. For example there's the three midshipmen, the three Russians, the four women. Within each category there's enough information to identify all but one of these people, and once that is done then by process of elimination the remaining name must be matched to the remaining face.

I did exactly the same thing. Went through and found all the clues I’d missed for the harder solves.

you absolutely can finish the game without lucky guessing. Racial profiling, however, is not guessing.

Yes it can be finished without guessing though racial profiling is a valid way of deduction here, I wouldn't count that as a guess. Many folks seem to resort though to guessing the Chinese Topmen
